Official NBA Playoffs Thread

Not to mention Ibaka. One of the reasons I don't completely love the bulls is because the whole team revolves around rose. He is a sick player and I like hamilton and deng, but the bulls as a team are a bit of a one man show. That's why I love the nuggets, pretty much everyone who gets play time potentially can and will have an incredible game and the one player who has the best game changes nightly.

I know what youre saying and the nugs are a solid team for sure. but wouldnt any team have a major set back losing their star player, never the less, their point guard. Yet, I still know exactly what you are saying. I respect your word kind sir.

thanks. Yeah i definitely think that may teams would be atrocious without their star players. That's what is so special about the nuggets. Either andre miller or lawson can play point guard like a chief. Afflalo or harrington and brewer can play well as SG ( harrington and brewer are forwards, but they shoot well from pretty much everywhere). Then you have faried and gallo who are talented forwards. And Mcgee and Mozgov or koufaz, can play center and make it happen. The nuggets in my opinion have the most solid bench in the league. I also like philly because they have pretty equally talented players, turner, holiday, igudalou, thadd young, and hawes, all get relitively near 20 points a game which is cool. I just get sick of watching 2 or 3 guys play basketball, with what is basically moral support from the other team mates.

It's great to have a well balanced team and I was impressed how both the Nuggets and Sizers did with what they had, but you need a star to finish a game, someone who can create plays even if everyone else is sleeping. Lawson is good, but not quite that level yet.

Legoooo Lakeshow.

i honestly think miller does exactly that. call me crazy but, he is great at making plays and he tends to get the nuggets going when they slow down. he is in my eyes the most underrated player in the game.

Definitely. Andre miller is one of the top 10 best point guards to play. pretty sure he has missed less than 5 injuries in 13 years.

also ranked in the top 10 in assists all time...

lets not get crazy here....andre miller has been good for a while but...cousy

magic

west

archibald

isiah

stockton

payton

kidd

nash

paul

rondo

westbrook

rose

parker

billups

baron davis

mark jackson

who on that list is andre miller better than? and im sure im forgetting someone. ill put miller on the second or third tier with guys like van exel, cassell, bibby, blaylock, bogues...

Miller is definitely better than westbrook. I personally love how he plays. I also wish John wall was on a better team, he has so much potential.

He is so much better than baron davis, no question.

Westbrook when he plays like he did last night.

He is ranked 10th ALL TIME in assists. That alone signifies an amazing point guard. He is playing to make others look good not get his shot, much like rondo.

He knows how to create even when his career is on the downward side. His game 5 against the lakers showed his game when he is on point. Creating for EVERYONE and himself in the last 5 minutes.

better than baron davis was 8-10 years ago? ill give you that hes a better pg than westbrook, just because westbrook is a 2. i like andre miller, i like how he plays. im a rondo fan and i played point guard so i appreciate that kind of play. but even still, to say miller is one of the best 10 pgs of all time is absurd. i gave a list of 17 and people made a case that hes better than 2 of them. and i dont think hes better than davis was with the hornets

hate him, and this stings cause they just beat the celtics, but this is gold. him and his whole family are legit crack heads

exactly how i was going to respond but didnt take the time to make a list..nicely done

and c'mon man stop bringing up the TOP 10 ALL TIME ASSISTS!!!111!!!!11!

the man has been in the league since the beginning of time, at some point its not a matter of skill it just becomes a numbers game - there is no way you could play for that long and not rack up a shit ton of assists

do you think brett favre is the greatest quarterback ever just because he has the most TD's thrown? No. He just played a fuck load of games, obviously hes gonna hold a few records

you don't get it, neither of us thinks andre miller is the best point guard ever, he is one of the rare selfless players in the nba and he is completely humble, he also is a great player. The fact that he has been palying for so long is proof that he has been a solid PG throughout his career. And brett farve holds records not only because he played for a long time, but because he was an excellent QB, it is a numbers game but having a long sucessful career is impressive in itself.

youre description of him as a player is spot on. humble, great teammate, solid pg throughout his career...but none of that equates to being a top 10 pg of all time. dale davis and charles oakley were solid pf's through their career, great teammates, and team first guys and each had an all star year or two, but youd be crazy to say either of them is in the top 10 pf's of all time...

also, 10th all time in assists..great...but you cannot judge players from generation to generation against each other based on compiled stats. karl malone is #10 all time in steals, does that make him one of the 10 best perimeter defenders of all time? plus the nba season wasnt always 82 games, players in the 50s 60s and 70s didnt have the opportunity to pile up stats. andre miller is 22nd all time in assists per game. (tied with jose calderon lol and...gasp...BARON DAVIS)

I never said he was top ten, I just think he is way underrated, I had no Idea he was 10th in all time assists he's a playmaker, I just think he is one of the few good players in the nba who isn't completely self centered.

Not exactly sure what we are arguing about anymore. Ok maybe not top 10, but he is definitely up there in how i would want a point guard to play, looking to make others better.

You cannot argue that.

I'm pretty happy, miami blew all there money on "the big three" they got no good supporting staff.

to bad for them.

Ya they should be playing a lot better than theyre, battier cannot hit a shot. chalmers is the only thing keeping this team in it right now...

but as it stands this team cannot win a championship, their attitude has been poor. i dont like how dwade is getting all pissy with the coach. not the type of team mentality that wins championships

lolzz...

make erroneous...

have logical and realistic argument presented in retort...

THATS NOT WHAT I SAID WHAT ARE WE EVEN ARGUING ABOUT?

I hate the Heat but the fact that people in Miami are talking about what to do with the team after they lose in this round is surprising. Even if they lose I wouldnt break them up, they were rolling before they fell victims to injuries in an abridged season

Everyone had to play a shortened season, every team suffered bangs and bumps because of a crammed schedule on limited rest. To blame this team that has continually flopped in the playoffs (here come bron supporters saying he made it to finals last year) on injuries isn't getting down to the real issue. This team proves you can just throw a bunch of high paid prima donna bitches together and call them a team. Wade's "pretty boy of the NBA" has severely gone down hill with his repeated disgusting antics - he started the coughing thing last year claiming dirk was faking sick, he broke kobe's nose with a cheap shot in a freakin allstar game, he absolutely truck sticked collison in game 2 because he was pissy he didnt get a call (embarrassing he didnt get suspended) and last night he blew up in spoelstras face like a whiny cunt

fuck the heat

and now to show the heat what the true meaning of a team is:

/images/flash_video_placeholder.png

continually flopped=making it to the finals in their first and only year together? also you completely misinterpreted what I said about injuries, you need to stop trying so hard to find reasons to quote me in every thread its so weak

jesus christ..i didnt even realize you're the same obnoxious pussy fromthe other thread, I was quoting you because you were the last person to talk about the heat. specifically how you hate them and I wanted to add to that hate

You need to let go of being such a hardo on the internet...literally no one is impressed

They've continually flopped in big games. The heat's record against teams with a winning record has been horrendous. Sure they can be flashy and play streetball and beat up on the bobcats 8 times a year, but against difficult opponents - specifically teams that play well as a team and don't just have a few standout all stars (i.e. the pacers) they can't handle themselves

Dont you remember last year their shooting percentage in the 4th quarter and on game winning shots? Bron, bosh, wade were a combined 2/25 in game winning shots or something close to that it was amazingly bad..they are the definition of chokers

best wade moment, hurt shoulder better get the wheelchair

/images/flash_video_placeholder.png

haha and even tho hes a jayhawk; pierce completely hamming it up, crying, carried off, wheelchair.. 10 minutes later Im good
