Official Holiday Valley / Kissing Bridge Thread

what do you guys think the probability of holiday having fids open on easter weekend is? I'm going out of town after this weekend and i really don't want this weekend to be my last chance to ski lift serviced parks this year haha

I heard a rumor about HV taking over KB sounds kinda crazy but holiday has so much money that I can kinda see it happening. Anyone else here this? I'm not getting my hopes up though.

Not happening, KB posted a pic to insta explaining everything I think. Anyways this will probably be the last weekend for fiddlers at holiday.

Yeah as much as I hate to say it, fiddlers is in bad shape... No speed unless you salt a shitload, slushy lips and melted out rails, and bad coverage in spots. Most other areas are shit too, I'll bet that all they'll have open next weekend is chute and yodeler areas.

UPDATE FROM CHA BOI: Holiday is running full hours all week, and....Fiddlers is still open! In rough shape but open. Last I heard was aiming for closing day of April 2nd, however that was before all the rain so we shall see!

For anyone who's going to holiday valley, buy a bag of rock salt for fiddlers if you want any speed whatsoever. Without it, fiddlers is pretty much worthless haha

Theoretically speaking, if there was a "Pleasure" (Level 1) screening in Buffalo, would any of you guys be down to attend?

Seeing Pleasure would be Awesome! Anyways, is there going to be the 5th Season rail-jam at UB this year? Last years was a ton of fun!

We're seeing what we can do for Pleasure!

Also, yes!! The date isn't confirmed yet, but we're looking at mid-late October. I will let you guys know as soon as we're certain. We're trying to work with Peek'n Peak to use their rails for it so hopefully the set up is better than years past!

Update!!!

So Peek'n Peak is sponsoring the event this year and bringing in TONS of good features. The plan is to have 3-4 drop ins and more rails than last year (between 5 and 6 I believe). A box, 2-3 tubes and a flat bar or two and maybe a corrugated.

It's going to be Oct. 21st at UB North time is TBD(probably around 4 or 5), same place it's been before. We're really excited for this year and hope we see you guys there!!

We'll also have tons of prizes from Saga and local shops. We hope to have a prize pack for 1st, 2nd, 3rd for both skiers and snowboarders!

Invite your homies from all over. It's gonna be great and the more people who come out the better it will be!!

heyooo im in town trying to ski this weekend, anyone know where to get pass coupons so i dont have to spend 60 beers worth of $$ on 3 icy runs?

1. Can we take a minute to process the fact that holiday is charging $50 for opening day...

2. The new park guy at KB seems super cool and really wants to turn things around. Pretty stoked on that.

3. Holiday is salty about people setting stuff up and told us today it wasnt allowed to anymore. So that was sad.

Yeah dude we like hiked up and rode over to where they were and dragged one out and the dude like yelled over to us. The homies went and talked to the guy and he said the last people who set them up didn't put them back in the woods and they were all butthurt.

Yeah putting those tubes back where they're supposed to go is like a huge deal for holiday valley becuase if they aren't put back they can be covered by the snowmakers or run over by the groomer or something. We talked to someone from the mountain crew about this last year

Some resorts don't even let people on the hill to begin with since its private property. I don't blame them for not letting you use them if the tubes aren't put back. I bet they would let you use your own pvc rails since you own them and wouldn't want to leave them there.

Beside J*P, peteythefish, and myself who was out at holiday for the first opening weekend? Sunday had a bit better conditions compared to Saturday with more coverage.

Hopefully they turn things around this year! Last season KB's park was really.... Sad.. The stairset was burried to the point where it was just two rails pretty close to eachother. The jumps were ice and full of ruts

I remember coming to KB a few years ago and their park was top of the line. They had so many features set up. It was all really well groomed and clean

Anyone head out from the Rochester area? If so how's the drive, getting real tired of Bristol's half assed racer bullshit

It's like 2 hours from my parents house to Bristol so I'm gonna say it's about the same from Bristol here?

I think next weekend when they open, if it snows like they say it will, it'll be worth it for sure.

Solid, I'll probably go down with some buddies if I'm not working.

There's some tubes off to the side that you can set up. They could be dicks about it though. If you go make sure you put everything back where you found it or they get piiiissed.
