That looked more like the defenders fault. Cech probably should have called him off if he didnt. But the defender needs to hear/see that thats the keepers ball and back off.

I am a keeper myself. Most annoying thing when another player just doesnt listen and gets in the way.
 
petr cech has become vastly overrated.

That was a terrible miscommunication.

And in regards to pele's goals, supposedly the only reason he's over 1000 is because he counted literally every single goal he ever scored. Friendlies, fundraisers, exhibitions and things like that. No other player ever counts those as being part of their tally.

Pele was good, but he wasn't the absolute God of football that he thinks he is.
 
That's why I don't like Pele. He's way too conceited. I like the best players who are modest. Which is why everyone hates Ronaldo, and most people like Messi. I don't think Maradona is very modest either, but he's hilarious so I still like him.
 
spot on Sean. So impressed with the knowledge of Garrincha - he was just as good as Pele, but a much more troubled human, native back ground, alcohol, not getting the respect he deserved. Had he been English and a stronger person, well....Lets have a PH football night with Fred and Mikko and a ton of different beers, get drunk, watch ball, do shenanigans.

 
fair points (bar Pele inventing tactics). Its just too difficult to compare different worlds really. Just put them all in the same bracket of 'The Best of Their Time"

this. it sucks cause i work during the day and i haven't been able to see either of the games. but ill be watching as Poland advances this Saturday.
 
I think we can take the Czechs and get into the quarter finals, that would be huge achievement and you can see they are pushing for it. i wonder how the fans will react if they win, last night there were celebratory riots just for a draw.
 
I'm pretty sure some cameramen have jobs of finding hot women or cute children.

And that picture of the German girl is irrelevant, the Dutch girls are way better. Also, that video above was hilarious.

Finally, today's a huge day for Group B, if the Dutch lose, they're out, and if Portugal wins and the Dutch win, everyone's tied and the final games of Group B will be huge. Today's going to be crazy. I'm hoping for a Dutch victory and a Portugal victory, so the final day is super interesting, and then the Dutch and Denmark advance.

But it's going to be very tough.
 
Ya today is big, I'm just pissed off that the internet here at work is too shitty for me to stream the games. Fuck my life.
