o its sad, in my town, (i looked at the ticker when i slid my sheet into the machine) only 50% of the population has voted :(

shit, not population, registered voters**.

my mom is an election judge so it will be interesting to find out how much of the town votes.

 
Have you even peaked at any politically themed threads in the past three months? Dozens of debates have ensued that were chock full of references to voting records, interview transcripts, articles, photos, videos, etc. from both McCain and Obama supporters. Many of those dbates were thoughtful and respectful.

What makes you think anyone wants to engage you in such a fashion when 1.) You're being an absolute prick, and 2.) you want to throw your hat into the fray on the day of the elecetion? Fuck off.

why can't we have 100% mail-in voting like Oregon? (and drop boxes at your local city hall if you cannot afford the 42 cent stamp).

i did mail in voting. you have more time to read the ballot, read the for/against statements on local initiatives, and research the financial backers of the aye/nay statements. and draw mustaches on everyone's picture in the voters pamphlet. all in my own kitchen. thus i did not spend half my day earning $0/hour while standing in a damn line in the rain.

obama is about to kill it, its absurd how this is still even a question...he's killing it in every battleground state...youth and black people voting like never before...more dems registering in every state than elephants...going to be sweet.

Honestly, the fact that we still have to show up in person to cast a vote in this day and age with all the technological advancements is absurd.

Now if only we could do away with the EC and get a true 3 party system...

i live in a very liberal part of northern new jersey.

i was booed at, shoved into a parking meter and a fire hydrant, and verbally abused as i walked down the street.

It's INCREDIBLY irrelevant. Even the popular vote is irrelevant.

When 10% of a state is reporting, the info is worthless.
