Official College Acceptance Thread '10

Got into Rutgers and University Park campus at Penn State. Can anyone give me some info about the skiing/life at Penn State?

i gotta say, despite the shit people post, NS'ers seem to be getting smarter and smarter for the most part. There are some damn good colleges in this thread...so props to y'all. Look forward to college-it's the best time you'll ever have.

and if anyone ever ends up at a school in Western MA, let me know!

I recently got rejected from exactly that.

the ones I did get into (finished hearing back now, so final list) are

cu denver (engineering), johnson & wales denver (8000 per year), metropolitan denver, u of u, and westminster

right now i'm mostly debating between cu denver and westminster, but u of u is still up there also

Pretty stoked just got into BCIT (British Colombia Institute of Technology) and UFV (University of the Fraser Valley). Now I have to choose.

BTW I am getting my welding ticket.

Got into Miami of Ohio, Ithaca, UVM, Drexel and UNH..waiting on Denver U, CU Boulder and UMassnot bad so far

Uh not much at Penn State, you can see Tussey Mountain from the Bryce Jordan Center. From what I heard it's small and not that great, the only better mountains I can think of would be in the Poconos.

my friend is going there for football, his name is Chris Adams and he plays tight end

since middlebury is pretty small, i wouldnt be surprised if you encounter him!

i am in to

westminster

u of u

montana state

and i got my acceptance letter from university of portland today, woop woop!

I just got into UW, super stoked on that as I had no idea when I would hear back, so knowing now is awesome. I will be visiting in a week so I should get a better idea on it then

So far it has been UW, Boulder, Seattle U, DU, and U of Portland. Still have McGill and UBC though.

congrats dude! i'm waiting to hear from UW also. and it's such an awesome place. kindof huge though.

That is one thing that kind of scares me off about it, I don't know how I will like the size, so it is pretty much UW vs. Seattle U, depending on what size I want.

To

I applied around the second week of November, so when I got the packet in the mail today it was a complete surprise as they said that it wouldn't be until late March or so.

When I talked to them earlier they said that they don't do them in any particular order, it doesn't really depend on when you apply (as long as it is before the deadline) they do them randomly with most of them coming in late march, with a few exceptions.

The school is definitely wicked good academically, I just don't know about the massive size.

oh sweet. and i've heard that once you get a solid group of friends it's not bad at all. but i'm still not sure. my top choices are UW with over 30,000 and portland or gonzaga with 3000.

Damn dude I'm so jealous. I applied pretty much same exact time, but I guess like you said who knows when I'll find out. It's my first choice, I love it out there.

Sweet! We'll probably be the only newschoolers there. It's going to suck having to do all that work. I say we ditch out every now and then and ski

Just got into McGill.

Have to hear back from 1 Ivy League school, then it is time to make my decision.

I'm in the middle of my gap year right now but I just got my confirmation for Colorado College class of 2014 (I was deferred a year, I just have to pay for enrollment and I'm set).

Super stoked to get started on my life dreams.

Committing to Ohio University this week for their Visual Communications program within the Scripps college of communications and journalism. Stoked!!!
