Official Callout: Short Skis

This for the people who ski on skis shorter than them (someone tag the pro euro skiers). If your skis aren't as tall you or taller, you are weak and are scared to ski a real ski. There are unwritten rules in skiing and this is at least top 3. Y'all scared.

Wel I'm 2.03m/6'8 so some brands don't have my size??‍♂️

this. I'm 188 cm tall and I would love to be on 188s all the time but VISHNU DOESN'T MAKE 188 WETS smh

Henrik is pretty much the only skier in park competitions with skis longer than he is tall. Although he's pretty much a midget so maybe all skis are taller than him.

This is how you tell apart the comp kids from the other kids. Bunch of Rev Tour kids were at the local hill this weekend for Rev Tour, and I don’t recall seeing a single kid with skis that didn’t look really short on them lol.

real talk. if vishnu made 190+ wets i would be on those again. 183 and 177 is basically the same ski anyway i dont know why they even bother with the difference. 183 is too short for any 6 foot tall human even with a standard camber/early rise park pattern.

vishnu guys i know youre on here. i would buy 195 wets at MSRP

I was just talking about those years when Dale Talkington was riding 184 or 186 Nordica park skis and how lit those looked..

I'm 6'4" and goddam it's hard to find a ski that appeals to my style of skiing as well as one that at the same time is taller than I am. I love Vishnu, and so I had to cope with buying a pair of the 183cm Wide's, and even though they don't look extremely short when I look at myself on video, they feel extremely short. @vishnu, plz make a 191cm Wide next year. Sincerely, us tall bois.

I feel like it used to be more standard for pros to ride on the biggest sizes offered. Remember how long Shae Flynn’s skis used to be on him?

Haha whaaaat? I’m 6 feet exactly and the 183 is prime, you want an almost 200cm park ski? You wild

Where do ski blades fall in all of this?

yeah man. the 183s were significantly too short for me at 6'1". I'm currently on stiff, camber/early rise skis at 186 mounted behind center and they still feel short at times. a center mounted rockered ski can go so long before it's too long

You are ok man, your skis are .22 cm taller than you are.

Laughing at and totally shooting down your customer's input, probably not great for business.

Super weird coincidence how all the best skiers ski shorter skis than all the not best skiers in this thread

Noooooo. don't say dis

I'M SAYIN IT.

> Long skis increase risk of blown knees

> Long skis decrease pleasure in tight trees

I won't hate on a size queen but let's all let each other ski whatever we want. Or else I'm gonna start putting lomgbois on blast for being scared to land everything bolts.

I'm 6'4 and ride the 183 wets. You're overthinking

Total BS. Here I am on short 155 then longer. 170. Not much differance. I ski some 146 too.

Park spinners can have their short skis and pull out big fatties on pow days. Skinny carvers for firm groomers and old school 210 straight skis for retro day. It's called a quiver for a reason. Maybe you should get a new job if you can only afford 1 pair of skis

I think op is referring to twin tips. I agree with you somewhat. Non twin tip skis feel much much longer because there's more ski in front of your boot. Skiing those in 190cm would be uncomfortable at times. I had a pair of 174cm non-twins and they felt very similar to my 185-188 twin tips in some aspects. I think it also had to do with the fact that one ski was full camber and one was rocker/camber/rocker with a shorter effective edge. In contrast, rented a pair of twin tips in 166cm one time... bastards felt like snow blades. I also felt like a child on them.

I'm a fan of longer skis. The stability is quite noticeable at times. However only real issue is in tight trees or narrow areas where you're trying to stop/turn; something in the 170ish range would be so much easier. Catching tails on trees sucks.

Hey man. Skis are skis are skis. If you wanna get out there on some short sticks- cool! Long sticks, cooler! But hey, it’s awesome if anyone is on the hill to begin with!

I feel like this is exactly like every sponsor me video that Vishnu or ON3P receives.

If your skis arent taller than you you're a snowboarder

"Get a new job"

Yeah dude, it's that easy. Also being smart with money and being able to get away with one pair of skis isn't a bad thing. You sound like a spoiled prick.
