it's only montoya, i dont care if he leaves. gotta feel bad for him tho. i understand not putting price in, theyre still 9-1-1 so the haters can smd.

Headshot wasn't a headshot, shoulder contact and a clean hit, Sedin just got blindsided. That was one of the best games I've seen in a hot minute. Miller only jumped into the fight because of the Martin vs. (I forget who) mismatch in the corner, Andersen should have actually dropped gloves. Fuckin' old time hockey right there.
 
unreal gold medal game. so exciting. sucks it had to be decided in a shoot out, Canada was definitely the better team in this game.

Sid reaching 1000 points last night was awesome to see. Almost went to the game, too. Pretty bummed I opted to go Tuesday instead of last night.

Question is now whether the Pens will protect him or not under the expansion draft. With Murray's youth and stand-up Stanley Cup performance last year I wouldn't be surprised if they're looking to get rid of the old and bring in the new. I've read on a small handful of sources that Fleury is a big candidate for Las Vegas's starting goaltender pick.

I'm not too surprised that they didn't move him. He's still a top tier goalie, and Murray is bound to need a few games rest during the playoffs even if he doesn't sustain some type of injury. If the pens want to have another cup run, they'll need Flower. My prediction is they'll let him go after the end of this season. He may go to the Las Vegas team, but it'll depend if they're looking for a super young goalie or a seasoned vet like Flower.
 
Who you guys got coming out of the first round?

My picks are:

East - NYR (toss up if Carey Price steps up), PIT, WASH and B's

West - CHI, MIN, CGY, SJ vs. EDM is a toss up for me
 
Capitals gonna choke 2nd round. Montreal will go to finals in the east. how does the playoff format even work after first round? Most vs least points?

Hawks vs Oilers (if that's possible) for west final. Oilers Habs final would be amazing. Bettman would hate it.

Hockey playoffs are the best, just after march madness, then the masters and now boom perfect timing we have 4 weeks of great hockey every night. Hockey really saving the day for sports fans that arent huge NBA fans...

You think the Habs are gonna be able to get past the Rangers? I'm honestly not sure how the bracket works past the first round, but the oilers hawks matchup is definitely possible! Sharks stole that one last night. Awesome game.

McDavid is literally unbelievable. He's the new and improved Sid. I'm really hoping we get to see a McDavid/Crosby Stanley Cup, which I think is very plausible. Pittsburgh's cup window is open for a few more years, and Edmonton's is going to be open from next year until McDavid leaves basically haha.

It's bracketed by division with the exception of the wild cards. So the Caps were on top of the metro and therefore would play winner of Pens vs CBJ. And so forth with the other divisions.

I'd enjoy an Oilers vs Penguins cup final with the Pens winning. So far this is shaping out to be a good playoffs. There really is no other sport as entertaining as playoff hockey.
