So is renaming it just for marketing and people don't feel like the Ar7 and thall are empty holes

All 3 of those models were essentially the same so we just picked one evolution of the name.

PS anyone know anything about next years Rossignol slat?

its a carry over ski, so no changes to it. better to get this years stock now while it is on sale. I like the graphic, but personally like to get something new each year. also, they ski really well, had them out at next years demo a few weeks ago

Oh sick well Rossignol hooked it up with some slats and some bindings in the fall for this year idk if they will next year and they aren't doing bindings anymore so not sure how it will play ut but new slats would be tight.

well, if you have this years slats (15/16) then you have next years. and yeah look is doing all the bindings now. id just hold onto them and we'll see next jan. what they are gonna do next

is there any info on the rossi ski parker and logan have been using their big picture vimeo series?

Supposed to be called the Black Ops and released in fall. They weren't shown at ISPO (or SIA as far as I know) but I've seen a few pairs and the shape looks super fun. Details are pretty hard to come by though.

would love to know more about these... what are they going after? mid-fat jibstick like the blend? all-mtn cruiser like the salomon rocker2 108/ atomic automatic 109? gah this sound exciting...

I would maybe try watching edits that their team athletes are producing.... It's not like The Big Picture guys are on Squad 7's....

If I were to guess (and hope) I would say something like the sickle, but fatter maybe? Considering they rode the sickle until early last season, I would think that would have some impact on the design...

Dude at evo told me Rossi was coming out with some new AT bindings that are going to be pretty crazy. Thing is I can't find any rumors about them online. Anyone know about this?

With marker announcing that the new griffon for 16/17 will be multi norm will this mean their new griffon demo bindings will be also? are there also any other companies that make multi-norm demo bindings? as, being a ski builder looking to do demos, with the rise of tech/touring equipment it would be good to be able to offer demos to those with non-alpine boots.

Just found the catalogue myself and its a no to the multi norm griffon demo, they do accepth markers new grip walk sole, which isnt clear which norm it falls under if at all.

I'm still interested to know if there are any multi norm demo bindings though

Fairly certain Tyrolia Aaatack is

just looked and they do have an adjustable afd (FR Pro toe) to account for different alpine toe plate thicknesses, so i think its the usual, you could jam in a touring norm boot but its not rated/designed for it (like their AT toe). they do have an AT version of the Aaatack for this coming season but not the demo.
https://issuu.com/greenbrands/docs/head_catalogus_winter_16-17 couldnt find the tyrolia catalogue but head is the same

I believe that you sir are correct. They do look good, however I can't help but feel that an exact repeat Bunch graphic is somewhat uninspiring. Doing shades of black, grey and white as the sole artwork colors does get a tad dull three years into the brand

you may be in luck then, in a Bunch edit earlier this year one of the guys was riding a pair with orange bases. As for the top sheet the bunch dudes probably are just gonna do the same top sheet till the model is discontinued since they had 100% control over it the first time, makes sense for a pro model too, it make it more identifiable.

So I talked to the ski buyer at skis.com today and apparently the new Black Ops is pretty much a 118 Slat, but there was some talk of it being 112... Sounds pretty interesting, definitely something I might be interested in the future...

I was about to post on here asking if anyone knew anything about that ski. It looks so dope, but why is it such a secret project?

I'm not 100% positive but there was some talk about getting Pwhite and Chris Logan a go to pow ski, I think this is supposed to be it

fosho, its just weird to me how low little it has been marketed. weve been seeing prototypes of the ski for over 2 years now and the only thing rossi has done to even tease that they might release it was starting to post the #rossignolblackops hashtag. im assuming they're gonna sell them at some point, but it seems like there's really no timeline as to when consumers like me can actually purchase them.

I've heard talk of a midwinter release... Hoping that's

I found a pair today at my local ski shop in boise...they look unreal. If they weren't 186 i would've bought them. No widths on them or anything, I'd guess 115 underfoot with a really sick flex

Ski n see in sandy Utah has a pair. The buyer told me that the Rossi rep walked in and dropped them off. He, the rep, intentionally didn't elaborate on them at all. The ski has no branding on them. Matte black with some gloss hints here and there. No labeled dimensions either. It's as if they are trying to go the route of a blackops level secrecy to spark interest.

Forgot to mention that at the same shop they had a pair of the JJ 2.0 and Al Dente's from the Zero collection. The jj's were unfathomably lightweight. I couldn't believe what I was holding. Somewhere in this thread the weights were posted at around 1700grams/ski, which for the size of the JJ is pretty impressive. Now I'm curious to hear how it skis. Care to chime in @loganimlach?

Paulownia core and a beefy glass package so they don't ski like shit. They're def fucking light for their size. I can weigh a couple today, I can't remember off the top of my head how much the are

Yeah exactly. The only dimension i could find was 186 length. I think it said black ops too. But only design on the topsheet was two gloss rossi logos and then the bases said rossi as well. They looked like fun

I saw in this other urban edit by LaFa I think, the dude had a pair of revisions with alternated bases. Like one was black and the other was white.

Thats a mix of different year models, one was probably from 2014-2015 and the other 2015-2016. Lots of pros do that at the beginning of the year.

I got to see/handle the black ops skis in person this past weekend and they're a super cool ski. I'm super stoked for them to get released.

Did they have more than one size?
