Official 2016-2017 Gear Rumor Thread

Gonna disagree with you on that. Virtually every graphic on the 2017 line is bland and lifeless. Some of the pollard graphics are cool, and the blend is tight, but the rest are really pretty boring.

You say bland and lifeless, I say steaming piles of dogshit.

I named a ski after my cat. It's pretty sweet.

Line Skis: "how can we make our line up better?"

Fuckhead intern: "we could go from the best graphics to the worst graphics and make our skis ugly as fuck - except the Blend, cause Joy Division"

Josh: "fuck yeah! all those retarded hipsters in Georgetown and Freemont will love that ugly shit."

EP: " what about all the other people, like the kids on NS?"

Intern: "Dude, those retards will buy anything if it has your or TW's name associated with it."

Guy in the back: "that balsa core makes sense now"

Don't listen to the downvotes!

most of this stuff is disappointing, not to sure were things are going from here but seems to have taken a turn for the worse from most companies.

Don't worry.....ON3P will save the day.

Leak coming through:

Usual stuff from Saga. Nice to see Armada is finally bringing out some neat looking skis with the ARV line. While the graphics are overall decent, Line is looking a little uninspired on a few skis. ON3P looks to be changing up the game this year which is definitely cool, interested to see what Revision does this year

Thanks for sharing! I for one really like Saga's lineup for next season. They've seemed to really mellow out and not go to over the top. Let's just hope their sizing matches those sweet looking, darker toned outerwear

Saga's best year yet. I can really see them taking queue's from Poler and I dig it... Really love the direction they went with the anomie bibs and God damn that MJ pattern balaclava is sick!

Good shot of Kartels on page 9 too.

No. No. No. No. No.

Wren 112's are a 15/10. An absolute perfect ski. Get them before they're gone.

Or just get both? :)

I love my Wren 112's...but the 108 is just fucking radtastic factor 5000. Just depends what you are looking for.

All info to be revealed on the 16/17 ON3P line up in the next couple of days.

no change to the slat, sadly. Not that it's a bad skis at all... I demoed "next years" the other day, one of the better skis I was on, along with the K2 Poacher

i knew that, but i do know that rossi is coming out with a new sickle-type ski called the slat BC.

how did the poachers ride?

Rossi said that they don't plan on putting money into a ski like that. between the market saturation from companies like line and armada (and even the bigger companies like salomon and head and K2), and the fact that the market for them is actually pretty small... So they are continuing to put their effort behind the 7-series. Infant, they are even renaming the Sin 7 to the Sky 7to make those skis more appealing

That said, the Poacher rode Great!!!! I have never liked K2 skis because of the Brand's culture, but they were a really nice ski. softer-mid flex, easy to ollie and mess around with. I didn't get to try them in the park but i bet they would hit jumps and rails with vigor

ISPO was a blur, thank you beer.

I could share a lot but I'll leave that to the magazines, websites and catalogs. Just some of my thoughts for now:

- Arcteryx had the most interesting new gear with their boot and airbag. Their airbag is much better, safer and practical than the Jetforce.

Airbag market sidenotes: I might write something about next years airbags and whats happening in the airbag market later. Some points for now: ABS is going down and their new design (surface vs volume) will not work because their airbags can fold. Arva had to come up with their own airbag system after they broke with ABS (the guy behind Arva designd the Vario system for ABS) and it has a lot of good thoughts and features behind it but they were in a rush and the system looks flumsy. Ortovox has a solid small and light system. Mammuts new system is just smaller and lighter than their current, still solid. Scott/Alpride is still solid and Scotts new packs look great. Jetforce is the same, still heavy and takes up almost all the pack.

- Stoked to see Strafe in Europe!

- DPS comes with the 'Foundation' line. A line of skis with less carbon etc but still high quality eventhough made in China or something like that. Oh and their ski boot rumor that has been floating around for the last few years: its true! They had some setbacks because they are trying to design and built something really new so not based on a current design. Not even shure if they will have a product ready for 17/18..

they will continue to ride the slat, I'd imagine. Maybe a year from now they will come out with a new ski, thats 97-108 underfoot and a proper twin tip, but for now the money is going into the 7 series

We are over leaked catalogs and crappy photos from SIA. Here is the straight dope for 16/17:

We will likely keep the Wren 112/113 available direct only.

And yes, Sander has something in the works. Just not totally ready at this time.

No Vice? No Frankenski? Arguably the coolest ski in the entire lineup...

in their last big picture edit they where definitely not riding the slat. that ski looked atleast 110 underfoot in the edit, plus different graphic than the slat

This could be totally true, but I have the catalog for next year and there is no mention of a 100mm+ twin tip

do you have a link for this edit?

keep in mind that some companies prototype skis for over two years before releasing it... so the ski you mentioned could be a 17-18 ski, and maybe it will get an early release next year...

If people recall, rossi released the 13-14 soul 7 to the public/retail stores in March of '13 (half a year early) just to have big WOW factor. this could be the case of the next big mountain/powder twin tip

Parker and Chris have been riding those ones pretty much all last season, and looks like they got a new version for this season, I think I saw a new base graphic on Chris' insta...

Someone else on the Rossi team was riding them as well, not sure who offhand...
