So Miguel Cabrera is more than likely going to win the Triple Crown for the first time since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967. This year has been insane.
 
He officially won it, best hitter in baseball right now without a doubt... having the ability to watch him all year has been insane.
 
Congrats to the Twins! Second straight year with the worst AL record! 66-96.

oh and i only follow mlb for the playoffs. i fucking hate the regular season. to me baseball has to be one of the most boring, longest seasons. just aint my thang.

but once the playoffs hit im all over this shit, idk weird huh?
 
Well, it's protested, but that isn't going to change shit. Cards won and that will be that.

While it may seem that the infield fly rule might apply, that call was, in the end, bullshit. But it will stand.
 
whats the point of having the extra wild card spot if its only a 1 game playoff? and why does the mlb have a best of 5 in the first round? they play twice as many games as every other sport but they play best of 5 for one series. why?
 
my thoughts exactly, it's so shitty for the braves they had 6 more wins than the cardinals. there should only be one game playoffs if there is a tie for a wildcard spot or division title
 
Baseball's whole deal is that the Regular season is forever, from April-September... and then the playoffs are October only. They don't want to go to November, because they don't think you can play in inclement weather (which is slightly true)

Baseball is super traditional. it's like making changes to the catholic church...
 
Verlander is good.. Especially when the umpire is calling strikes 4 inches off the outside of the plate. I hate to bitch about umps, but that was obnoxious.

I'm mostly annoyed by the format where we start on the road. We better win tomorrow... that happens, and it changes the entire series huuge.
 
Meh... that was a pretty poor start to the playoffs. Out of the first round. Typical Oakland.

Oh well. I didn't even expect to see the playoffs, so right now it's just fun times.

Raul was a MONSTER today and the As with a come from behind walk off win, it was a good night in baseball
 
I hope the Yankees can wrap it up tonight. After last nights rollercoaster, I dont think my heart can take a game 5.
 
Away team has won every fame in this series :) Not that it reall says much, But go reds! I have class til 2 but will get to see most of the game
