Cooke suspended 4 games...fair enough..probably should of been longer for the repeat offender...that being said!
I am getting slightly frustrated at all the players lately, turning there backs and putting space between the boards. Especially, when your being collapsed on(by Matt Cooke, notice he obviously see's him coming beforehand). I am pretty sure I was taught that in Bantam hockey.
Whats the alternative for Cooke on a dump & chase? Come to a completely stop and try to poke check/wrap him up? Come on now, its the NHL, and the other team is losing towards the end of a game. Of course they are coming fucking hard, be ready!
I understand drawing the penalty, but is it worth a potentially life threatening injury? Some pens players do the same shit, I just think minor accountable(in some hits, not all) needs to be placed on both ends.
Turning your back to a player is becoming "safety & puck control" to forwards, because they know the D HAS to let up on the play when they do that.
