Whatever, it will be awesome to play as the Avalanche with him when NHL 11 has a new roster update!

false... actually most caps fans in DC arent fair weather fans... sure there are a lot of them out there but for the most part people that watch/go/pay attention to the games "actually like hockey."
people appear to "gargle ovechkin's nuts" because he is fucking good.. but among people in DC ovi isnt idolized as much as crosby in pittsburgh. in fact in the dc area players like laich, green, knuble, varly/neuvirth, chimara are equally popular (fan favorites) as ovi/semin/backstrom...
so if anything people outside of DC have ovechkin's nuts in their mouth.

Canucks played well tonight but they gave up a fucking 3 on 0. when does that happen? luongo and Elliot both played really well today. and in the second period we had some pretty lucky posts, the sens hit the posts 3 times

Garrett is a homer. Everyone knows it's Crosby vs. Stamkos for the Hart this year. That being said, what you don't realize is how fucking good Kesler is. He is the MVP and on-ice leader of the best team in the league, and so he should be in the discussion for Hart even though everyone acknowledges he has no chance of actually winning it. He should finally get his Selke though.

I mean... its already insane as it is with Phoenix, but throw in a 77 win team and holy shit the whole conference makes the playoffs.

That said. I dont want Vancouver to leave the northwest... Rivalries with Calgary and Edmonton are too important.

Move Colorado to the Pacific and throw Winnipeg into the Northwest, and then you're talking some real stuff, considering CO has pretty decent rivalries with west coast clubs anyways.

eafs acquire prospect that had trouble developing in anaheim- well will not be a problem here, after all everyone knows how good the leafs are at developing prospect
 
Cooke suspended 4 games...fair enough..probably should of been longer for the repeat offender...that being said!

I am getting slightly frustrated at all the players lately, turning there backs and putting space between the boards. Especially, when your being collapsed on(by Matt Cooke, notice he obviously see's him coming beforehand). I am pretty sure I was taught that in Bantam hockey.

Whats the alternative for Cooke on a dump & chase? Come to a completely stop and try to poke check/wrap him up? Come on now, its the NHL, and the other team is losing towards the end of a game. Of course they are coming fucking hard, be ready!

I understand drawing the penalty, but is it worth a potentially life threatening injury? Some pens players do the same shit, I just think minor accountable(in some hits, not all) needs to be placed on both ends.

Turning your back to a player is becoming "safety & puck control" to forwards, because they know the D HAS to let up on the play when they do that.
 
i completely agree. a few players get injured because they put themselves in a bad position and now theres less intensity because of it. if you dont wanna get hurt then fuckin posture up or get the fuck out of the way, simple as that.
 
1. For the Kesler for Hart discussion. No he will not win, but he should at least be given some consideration as a candidate. He's played incredible this year, 3rd in the league in goals and first on the team. Is an incredible two-way forward (should at least win the Selke this year) third in +/- in the league at +25. Tied for third in the league with GWG. For most of the season has been the Canucks sole secondary scoring and has helped to give Vancouver one of the best PP in the league.

2. The Toronto trade - In my opinion not a very good trade for them. They already had a weak defence and imo traded away one of their best defenceman even if he has underperformed in TO. They will probably let in more goals now then they did before, which is not good since they were sitting about 23rd i believe and Lupul will not solve their scoring woes either. If Burke thinks he is going to be the player to get Kessel going, well then Leaf nation will not be happy.

The only upside to the leaf deal MIGHT be Jake Gardiner, he might be a decent player someday but they can't rush him
 
theyre gonna throw him in the lineup and expect him to score at least 1 goal per game, and when that doesnt happen within his first 4 games theyre gonna send him down to the A
 
ya bro, i was trippin. all pumped one second, pissed off the next aha. and ya the thomas/price fight was a lil disappointing, but im not too worried about it cus i didnt want price to get dipietro'd or something.
 
the 2nd period was fucked bro, after the big tilly the announcer at the arena announced 3 goals because they all happened so quick he didnt have time to do it in between
 
Lmao i was in lecture during the second period. me and my friends were trying so hard not to laugh or get too excited during the game. Definitely the most entertaining habs game ever.

 
Winnipeg has the upper hand... and should def get a team first. they actually do have an arena (abeit small) but at least it will sell out every single game and be loud as fuck... think old Boston Garden redux...
