the bruins played great except for games 1 and 7. im a huge bruins fan. but they couldnt pull it off and was clearly thier fault for not winning or keeping the game close for that matter. 0 for 6 on the power play, defense was weak last night also. Bruins will be back STRONG next year

The habs are the most underrated team I think. At the beginning of the season nobody putted them in the playoff and they finished first in the east, that wasn't luck. They let Boston get to game seven but look at the sharks, they let Calgary get to game seven also and do you say they dont stand a chance against the Stars or Avs. Habs are a great team and it will not be easy beating them even for the Rangers or Pens. As I remember, the Rangers blew a 5-0 lead against the Canadiens this year.
 
a big reason they were in first was because they beat the bruins 8-0 during the season. if the bruins had won half those games they would be tied for first
 
Well, I wouldnt have PUTTED them in the playoffs at the beginning of this season either. but though they were consistant for much of the season, they still have to ride 3 more series with a rookie goalie, and a powerplay that hasnt shown itself. I dont think they can just ride the backs of Kovalev, Koivu, and Carey Price when facing very established teams like New York, and Pitt. Personally, I dont think they can get through Philadelphia if the two were to face.

We will see... but even if they beat out the east, they are going to get curbstomped by the winner of the west.
 
Carey Price looks like a veteran. He is so mature for a 20 year old playing the toughest position and we all know he can deal with the pressure. And Monday night, it's not only koivu kovalev and price, all the twam played great. And the new lines are mad, the kostitsyn brothers with plekaneck was hot and the koivu line was the same. But, I hope Philadelphia wins tonight. GO FLYERS... until you meet the habs
 
Price is doing well.. but 2 games in a row there he allowed a lot of 3rd period goals when he needed to be at his best. He's good, but likely to make mistakes. Expect him to allow a few more in the net against some teams with better offenses than Boston...

And for the Pens vs Rangers I say Rangers in 7

having to play the avs or detroit? dont think so, if calgary took them to 7, they might have a rough run to the title! Dallas is alot better than Calgary. I don't San Jose get out of the series without playing another 7 games. My pick is still Colorado vs. San Jose, with Av's winning the west. They just have everything they need, a hot goalie, good offense, and alot of veteran leaders, they basically have 5 team captains.

Why was Montreal rioting after winning the opening round of the playoffs? To make matters worse... Montreal was the #1 seed.. and they were forced into a Game 7 by the #8 seed! I wasn't aware that there was only one round in this years Stanley Cup playoffs. Please Montreal... act like you've been to the playoffs before.

But I don't mean to single out Montreal. I was thoroughly embarrassed last year by my own fellow fans. I went to game 3 of the Pittsburgh-Ottawa series last year. My own fellow fans were booing the Canadian national anthem. Seriously wtf?

So this goes to a shoutout to everyone. Be a fan and support your team hardcore, but don't go over the top and do stupid shit.

There is no way San Jose are going to win.. how do you see that..Av,s arguably have the hottest goalie in the league right now..not even to mention there defense and offense...state one reason why SJ will beat the Av's just one

san jose has one of the most consistant goalies in Nabokov, and only Martin Brodeur has the stamina he has.

They also have the strongest offense from top to bottom, with thornton spearheading that one, and a defence lead by a young, tough brian cambell and quite possibly the hardest bodychecker with kyle mclaren
 
Syke..Theodore showed his consistency in a 6 game series which, with the only two games that that wild won were in over time... all together Minnesota only had the in the game once...out of 200 shots on goal Theodore saved 188 thats SV% of .940...your retarted...also the Av's have Foote and Saur down on defense, which will rock SJ shit, Foote arguably being the best defender in the league. I hope Dallas rapes you guys..jk
 
So the avs did well against a Minnesota team who the sharks swept during the season. Big deal... They have a pretty poor offense anyway, outside of Gaborik and Demitra anyway...

Foote is like 50 years old... I mean, i'm sure he's still good, but compared to an experienced, yet youthful Sharks D? Puh-leeez. Oh, not to mention, the sharks D has so much insane depth.. its impossible to find a weak line in the Sharks 3 D-lines. McLaren. Cambell. Vlasic. Ehrhoff. Rivet. Carle. Murray... etc etc etc.. I'd trust any one of these guys to play great D.

Oh, and Nabby > Jose any day..

Nabby - 77 games.. 6 SO's and a fairly consistant playoff so far, seeing as he made very few mistakes against a very potent Calgary offense - no doubt one of the better offenses in the league. Hell, did you even see that game 2 snag? point blank shot, and the dude grabs it with jedi-like reflexes..

They beat SJ 3/4 times during the season. I'd say they were a pretty good opponent to face..

Now SJ faces Dallas, which should be a somewhat even series, seeing as SJ and DAL sorta played Tit for Tat this year until SJ went on that insane refuse-to-lose streak. Both teams have hot goalies, and both teams have strengths all over the place

Meanwhile, you guys get to face a strong Detroit team.. should be a good return of that rivalry.. Regardless of which I'd put money on DET to win that one.. they are stupid good, and easily have just as good of a team as anyone.. doesnt hurt that they have 2 good goalies this season.

I'm going to be the better man here and with Colorado luck vs. Detroit... though, in my honest opinion.. I dont see it helping. Datsuyk runs a pretty tough club. Should be interesting.

I dont see how they nearly lost to an 8th seed... they beat them in 6 games, and even when they did lose, they were very much still in the game. Hell, in game 4, they had about 40 SOG's and lost by 1 goal. I say they have just as much ability to win the cup as San Jose, or anyone else for that matter. They are good.. Game 6 proved that with Osgood's SO, and the 3 goal victory.
