i love how it went from "our team will spank the pens later in the playoffs" and"its only because they are playing horrilbe easy teams" too all they now can do is rag on our "bandwagon" fans and try to talk shit on our players. Can you say...JEALOUS?
 
1)Kennedy kicked that flyers ass. No doubt.

2)Even you flyer fans know that goal was in.

3)Laraque vs. Hatcher would be an AWESOME fight.

Malkin play with Sykora and Dupuis... I hardly call them great players. As for the rest of those player true that Crosby and Hossa are dominant all they do to help Malkin is match him up with a second defensive pairing. And the way geno has been playing in the playoffs and when Crosby is injured well he's legit to say the least.

Ovechkin also has these other decent kids on his team they go by Semin, Backstrom, and Greene.

Ovechkin might be slightly better then Crosby or Malkin he's definitely a better pure goalscorer and brings a more physical edge. But all 3 players do things that make you shake your head in awe on a night by night basis. It's a great time for hockey, enjoy it.

Also Crosby does have the 'C' he's not always bitching at the ref he takes his punishment he deals some of it out. Lot's of time he's just got to talk to the ref and represent his team's needs.
 
i was cheering for the penguins when dick tarnstrom was the shit, so fuck whoever says pittsburgh fans are all fair weather. the pirates are still in pittsburgh - end of argument. and whoever said the steelers suck is just plain ignorant.
 
Good evening from the dark depths of the Amazon in peru. I´m actually living here for a month volunteering in a clinic. Thus I am forced to only get play by play on espn or tsn, and check the scores as the game happens. The connection isnt fast enough for streaming radio or video. These people think i´m retarded for cheering after reading something on a screen.

But just some points. I obviously haven´t watched any of the games. But from the looks of it on the bo score sheets. My predictions were fairly accurate.

And Klazo. It apprears that Crosby has come out of his little 4 game slump in the playoffs.

Ok, lets get something straight. Hockey is never going to fully catch on in the states. All these rule changes, and expansion teams are simply not working. Hockey will NEVER be as big there as it is here.

Honestly if the pens get the final in the home arena, there would STILL BE EMPTY SEATS.

In Canada to get seats for regular season play, you have to book months ahead of time. Same thing for the ACC. That is what i hate about modern hockey, its all about money. The players don't care, the owners don't care, and the league does not care.

Even the last players who actually did care where they played, and what team they represented finally got traded. I know im going to get tons of hate on this, but honestly I don't care.

What are you talking about? Hockey now is JUST as fucked up as the other sports. The amount of injurys, the drugs. Its all there, its just this sport is not looked at as hard as the other sports. Of course there is going to be a waiting list for season tickets, but im talking about one game. Just one. You CANNOT in toronto, calgery, vancouver, montreal, edmonton just decide that after supper you want to go to watch a hockey game ( unless you have hook ups, or have LOTS of money).

Toronto, and Montreal are always sold out. Its not even comparable. Hockey is not catching on in the states. Its just that simple. I also hate to see people think that the players are actually playing for their hometown. Do you honestly think Begin likes WANTS to live in Philly? Do you think Ryan Smith WANTED to leave edmonton? Its all the agents/owners/palyers/league that are just out there for the money. The players honestly don't give a FUCK about where they play. When you guys watch the Flyers play, and they think they won the game for philly. Think twice because they only one for that extra bonus cheque at the end of the year. Hell look at the teams most of the "all star" players are not local.

Im just fed up of watching a prize that a whole country lusts for year after year after year. Something that represents a culture, and a whole people. Something that represents a whole nation. Where even if you are fans of rival teams, you still come together for that one canadian team to bring it home. Im fed up of the cup going to a town, to a place that does not give a fuck. That has an empty arena at the finals. That would rather watch BASKETBALL. America, does not give a fuck about hockey. Thats the end of that. You could argue till the end of time, but that is the plain truth.

I will be a canadians fan, and play the game for life. But i just can't stand watch our sport just be all be about money. Im watching the OHL, or AHL now.

Last point, look at the players of today. You can't even compare the old players to the new. The old players just don't have the heart. The only player in my opinion who did was Ryan Smith. He did not just play for money, he played for edmonton, and i believe he will be one of the last players with the true heart and soul of hockey.
 
^^ yeah i see where youre coming from on the attendance point, but youre making absolutely ridiculous generalizations. a stanley cup in detroit is going to be a hell of a lot different than a cup in carolina.

and i agree that everyone's too greedy, its hard to argue that after the lockout.

however, you need to chill the fuck out and realize that without commercialization, hockey at this level wouldnt exist. if it bothers you that much, steal the stanley cup or get rich and start your own canadian hockey league. just enjoy the sport on your own terms and quit bitching about everyone else.

One more thing first off it's Smyth. And second he certainly wasn't playing for Edmonton when he left. I'm not gonna judge I think he's still a great guy but he left either for straight up cash which it was said by credible sources that in a 5.5million/ish contract per year they were about 100K away from agreeing to resign. Or he might of just left to play somewhere else maybe win a cup somewhere who knows. He has heart but he sure as hell didn't unconditionally play for Edmonton.

It was an attempted pass to Hossa That deflected off the phillies guys stick and went in. The only reason it went in is because Biron played the pass and left his post.
