Offical 08-09 Big Mountain Thread.

hmm i can clear it if i racer tuck from the suggested drop in point but when i try my sevens and fives this weeked i will probably hike higher

I will be there this coming weekend. I have a brown analog plaid jacket, brown orage pants, both xl, a white giro encore and red crowbars and will be skiing on white pipe cleaners or super fat ON3ps. If you see me yell at me or ask me how to get to Chads!

^^ yeah they still look the same, really lippy with flat landings, and the angles look all messed up. Not too appetizing unless your into that kind of stuff

so i hiked the park after school and its sick. They replaced the shotgun with a flat bar. The downward propane tank is now the t-bone box. Then they still have the flat-down box and on the left is an up rail. Then rollercoaster of death and shark rail to 30 ft down rail. Finally they took a propane tank and set it up sideways probably on a 7 ft snow mound.

random question: i was at big mountain over xmas, who is the guy riding the moment reno rockers? i'm trying to find out some info about the skis and was looking for someone who's used them

I'm going to be home on the 20th, and stoked to ski for all of spring break. Can't wait to see you fine chaps and chapettes.

^That's just big mtn's standards, it's kind of expected.

But in all seriousness I am looking forward to skiing their park and the rest of the mountain.

first off thanks to whoever helped me get started on the big jump, i just could not get enough speed to gap it.

Secondly, that jump is the sexiest thing i have ever hit on skis....in the past week. It is just so so so smooth and fun.

Props to big mountain for figuring out their jumps...well at least most of them.

^agreed!that jump is soooo fun. we had a fun sesh today.. and mutha fuckas betta beware of alex adams. kid's steezy and spinnin both ways like mad. and i havnt even started talking about his rails yet..

Seriously. The stuff he's done this year has been absolutely nuts, the proof will be in the video. People will be floored.

if y'all havnt seen it yet.. check this pbp edit with mr. tanaka and collin collins shredding at big mtn and big sky!

nahh that was my friend irie i was wearing a blue jacket without a hat cause it had snow in it. I think i saw you filiming around christmas break to...so where can i find some footy

Holy cow! Luke is throwin' down like crazy. That's also cool to see Andy get some shots in there.

hey thanks. shane (dowalibeast) got all the shots, look for it in some edits or a short flick at the end of the year

we went back to the tree bonk for one run today, but the landing was real hard so we only hit it once.. here's a pretty sweet pic though :

A few highlights from today:

Adams brothers are going nuts. Alex: 9s, rightside 7s, backies Trav: lincolns galore, sick 5s, and prom.

Shae was throwing down on Thugs, Willie was blasting his spread out 3s.

These kids continually make me feel and look like a gaper.

Put that slushwax on, it was super slow.

Super fun weekend. The big jump went off again today, hopefully Drew will post some pictures up sometime this week. Us Great Falls kids left a trail of havoc and gayness across northwestern Montana.

this weekend was killer fun! always a good time skiing with the college goers back from spring break and the snow was super soft

Sick man, not sure if I remember who you were, I met a lot of cool kids this weekend. I have come to the conclusion that Big Mountain is probably one of my favorite mountains in the state, I didn't meet nearly as many douche bags as I usually do at Big Sky or other mountains around the state. Plus you guys have a fun park, a killer mountain and good coverage.

^are there still rules that you can't do straight over flips in the slopestyle competitions?.. like fore example, you used to not be allowed to do a backflip, but you could do a backflip 180... thought that shit was pretty retarded.
