OCCUPY OCCUPY WALL STREET!

So yeah, when I worked all winter and barely had any money left over thanks a lot to gas, I should give my check to someone so I actually am losing large amounts of money by working. That makes a lot of sense.

The thing with the super rich is the surplus. When you already have everything you could possibly buy and are still raking in shit loads of money, you have money to spare.

I don't think you're understanding that.

you can't just compared apples to oranges.

here is what you dont understand about the super rich. they super rich buy shit all over the places and have to pay people to take care of everything..

you ever wonder why athletes and musicians go broke? they live a lavish lifestyle and when the money stops coming in they cant afford that lavish lifestyle.

for instance I know a rich person that has many houses all over the country, one of there houses has a full time staff mon-fri people inside the house and outside. the house and property would be a mess if they tried to take care of it themselves. they spend roughly 1 million dollars a year at this one house paying people salaries and paying for repairs and all the expenses that go into the house. ya sure its over top but im just explaining to you why they actually may need the money when you think they really dont.

most rich people go broke because they waste all the money. They just don't give a fuck and spend money on anything.

Live it large until the funds run out. Spend 100k on the bathroom, buy a dog for 10 million because it's albino. Get micael jacksons nos for 300 millions

good spending ideas

dub post IDGAF:

i like how the top 50% pays almost 98% of federal income taxes...really interesting how progressive our tax structure is.

It is 3 am, I am going to bed after doing HW for the last 6 hours to wrap up a 20 hour day. I will wake up around 5:30am to start another 18+ hour day.

I have a job and am working on a Aeronautical and Astronautical degree with minors in Military Science, Math, and Applied Math. It is possible, you just have to work at it.

Yup, Americuh is fucked. Its to bad that an ideology revolved around individualism and self preservation couldn't have lasted longer, but alas, your time is up.

They are doing a fantastic job of creating jobs. This is about the 5th such story Ive read about this. Complete disregard for the neighborhood that is hosting them. They literally harass, spit on and prevent people from crossing their own streets, entering their buidlings and enjoy the same civil liberties that these fucktards are exploiting.

More Print They want to change the economy, and now they have -- by putting people out of work!

Heartbroken Shamil Cepeda was one of 21 employees of a once-thriving cafe and catering business who just got fired because the weeks-long Occupy Wall Street protest chased away too many customers.

“I support their freedom of speech but the whole thing is hypocritical if it makes people lose their jobs,” a tearful Cepeda, 23, told The Post yesterday.

“Isn’t that the whole point of the protest?” fumed Cepeda, 23, who had worked at the Milk Street Cafe at 40 Wall St. since it opened in June.

She said she supported the protesters at first -- but now, she’s furious at them.

“I felt really, really angry,” Cepeda said of learning she was a casualty of the supposedly pro-worker movement. “I really enjoyed the job. I liked the people and my co-workers. Everybody was so enthusiastic to make the company go.”

Cepeda also had some common-sense advice for the mash-up of protesters and squatters who have occupied Zuccotti Park since Sept. 17.

“If they would just go get a real job, helping real people, that would help a lot more than just taking up space and shouting at people and putting others they claim to care for out of work,” she declared.

Her former boss, Milk Street Cafe owner Marc Epstein, said he had no choice but to slash staff after Occupy Wall Street caused his business to plummet 30 percent -- and warned he may have to shut down soon.

“We laid off people Friday. We had a staff of about 100,” fumed Epstein. “It’s sad, it’s just so sad.”

He said the ragtag protesters and metal police barricades in front of his once-booming business forced not only Friday’s employee bloodbath but a drastic cut in the eatery’s hours of operation.

“We had to cut back from [closing at] 9 in the evening to just 3:30 in the afternoon,” he said.

The protests, he said, have turned parts of once-bustling Wall Street into a ghost town.

“Wall Street, which is a beautiful pedestrian mall, has for the last six weeks become totally desolate. People aren’t walking here anymore,” he said.

“The food industry does not have anybody in the 1 percent, workers or owners,” said Epstein, who has no love for the protesters.

But he also pointed a finger at the NYPD and City Hall, which he said had ignored his pleas for help.

“I’m saying to all of them, understand the consequences of your actions. As a result of you guys making these decisions, a small business that just invested in your city is threatened, as well as all of the jobs here,” he said.

Also yesterday, Mayor Bloomberg and one of his predecessors, Ed Koch, sparred over who caused the nation’s financial turmoil.

“It’s not the banks that created the mortgage crisis. It was, plain and simple, Congress who forced everybody to go and give mortgages to people who were on the cusp,” Bloomberg said during the 40th- anniversary breakfast of the Association for a Better New York.

“They were the ones that pushed the banks to loan to everybody, and now we want to go vilify the banks because ... It’s easy to blame them.”

But Koch said, “I want to see somebody ... punished criminally. There’s something wrong with a kid who steals a bike going to jail and someone who steals millions paying a fine.”

Meanwhile, Assembly Speaker Shelly Silver took some shots at the protesters and Bloomberg.

“I asked the mayor to enforce those codes, to enforce the health code while reinforcing the right of people to express themselves,” Silver said, echoing a letter that he and other lawmakers had sent the mayor. People have rights, Silver added, but they “should not include drumming in the middle of night ... defecating or urinating on sidewalks and in places that cause odors, and [they] should not include [police] barriers ... that are infringing on businesses’ right to exist.’’

Other signers of the letter included Rep. Jerrold Nadler, state Sen. Daniel Squadron and City Councilwoman Margaret Chin, all of whose districts include Zuccotti Park.

In another development, the protesters’ security team spotted a man suspected of sex assault in the encampment and notified cops. They took him into custody for questioning.

I think it is the wealthy, middle upper class, republican douche bags that have the greatest sense of entitlement, not the occupy protestors. They are the ones that work only during the summer, have their tuition paid by their rich parents, get mediocre grades, and still claim to be the hard working backbone of America. Most occupy protesters I have met have gone through school on their own dime, have always held jobs, and find it ironic that people who have received handouts from their family their whole lives call them bums.

Going to go out on a a pretty short limb and say you are about as wrong as two boys fucking on the steps of the Vatican.

Want the government to pay for your school? Enlist in the military, G.I. Bill is fucking awesome.

I'm with you on all of this...

If you don't like Capitalism, or are too dumb / lazy to make the most of it for yourself - move to France and let the rest of us get on with rebuilding a major economy.

I'm sorry but the culture of entitlement over here amongst our generation is horrific and shameful.

I posted this in the other thread - but, to get to the very top of a major corporation.... to become a millionaire or a billionaire CEO takes a life time of dedication, sacrifice and pure talent... 20-30 years of the only thing that matters is achieving that goal - and they fucking deserve their money, every cent of it.

I have neither the talent, or dedication to achieve that level of success, and neither does 99% of the rest of you... oh wait....

Name 10 good things capitalism has done for us. And by us I mean the general population not just the rich.

I can't even think of one.

I fear you may get slated by others for that statement, but i won't.

America always has been, and always will be a capitalist country. Capitalism gives you opportunity - it's your fault for not seeking it out and making the most of the system, and you cannot turn on the people that did because they made America the power it is today.

You have no idea how good you have it over here - and how many opportunities you actually do still have...

Move to France.

Accesable global communications (high speed Internet, iPhones, affordable computers, etc)

Accessible and efficient global and national travel. (Planes, trains and automobiles)

Affordable products - higher standard of living

A planet that can feed 7 billion people

A growing global middle class

Vaccinations for what used to be highly lethal diseases

Cancer treatments

Population dictated governments around the world (republics, and democracy)

Womens and minority sufferage.

Affordable energy

Those are pretty general and some of the big ones. let me know if you want more...

While we don't seem to agree I appreciate you at least making an argument instead of settling for posting stupid pictures to supposedly show your right and I'm wrong. I guess that's one thing we got. And I said what about breaking up the current system and getting some real change to benefit the masses. Still not sure who I'm voting for but I really hope this election will change something for the better.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It won't. The next election will be a huge non event. There isn't one potential candidate that has the ability to do anything remarkable. And anyone who is good enough to run for president is simply staying the fuck away - and who'd blame them. It's a poisoned Challis right now. It's just the Ego's in the hunt right now.

My advice to anyone is, only you can make things better for yourself in this world. Pissing and moaning about the current situation of the country/the world will not help and is just wasting your time.

You have to make your own luck im afraid - take care of #1.

Put your mask on first before helping others.

For those who have not noticed, Shadynasty is the abortionator so it is about 50/50 on whether is trolling or just stupid. (well I know he is a dumb fuck, but a lower level of stupidity).

State 10 good things to come out of the OWS "movement." Other than an epidemic of STD's, bringing cities to an abrupt stand-still, and protesting the foundation of the greatest country on Earth. This occupy shit has gone on for too damn long. I can't wait for winter when all these pussy little brats go back to mommy and daddy for some hot soup and a shower.

fact of the matter is he's bitching about modern society using a COMPUTER on the INTERNET

it's like bitching about traffic while you're driving in traffic....you're part of the problem!

The OWS protest just started. Capitalism has been fucking people over for a long ass time. The OWS protest isn't finished, the protest is to hopefully achieve the goals if people will wake up and listen.

You can't judge something that's barely begun

Traffic jams aren't usually the result of too many people.

It generally the result of a few people who suck at driving causing a chain reaction. When I'm stuck in a traffic jam, I'm the victim of some assclowns miles up the road not the cause of the problem.

I ignored this thread for a really long time, like after the first page. Any who thanks for the clarification. The abortionator is one of my kind so i approve of this message.

How can I judge something with no clear plan or structure?

And Please tell me how Capitalism fucks people over. It fucks you when you don't want to work hard and have no motivation, which is how it is supposed to work.

At least you finally admit the one true objective of OWS.... To replace capitalism with an economic system based around redistributing other peoples wealth and "equalizing" peoples success regardless of effort. People like you are the bane of our generation your a good for nothing mooch who has never learned how to do anything except complain and cast blame GTFO get a job and STFU you pinko

So it turns out if you can find a hot girl at one of these occupy events and you ask her if she would like to join your own movement called "Occupy My Pants" you will get hit with a bitch tornado

Heroic Occupy Oakland protesters smashed up a whole foods and caused hundreds of teachers to miss school. Keep up the good work guys.
