NS why do you like OBAMA?......No Canadians allowed.

lol 9000 gallons! thats $522,000 or something in jet fuel and the thing for the photo op was like $380,000

don't forget, for those of you who actually work, that money for fuel comes right out of your paychecks, so does the money from this obscene budget. People who don't pay taxes (which is now half the country) are pumped about the stimulus because they have absolutely no stake in what happens--they aren't paying taxes, none of their money is going into it, yet they are benefitting from it. Lots of people are paying for this bill even though nothing in it will benefit them. They are paying for it but getting nothing in return. How is that OK?

its not ok... im in college, and, yes, my parents are helping me pay for school some but im stil a semi broke college student and i hate having to pay for this stupid thing through taxes.... its not ok.

Definitely agree with that point.

I pay hundreds every month in taxes, and someone else is getting a $300 check for it because they don't have a job. I feel robbed. I work hard, and pay the lazy? Not everyone who lives on the welfare of the nation is lazy of course, but I highly doubt there is much accountability in the system. Many members of my family are perfect examples of people who simply exist on welfare and don't pay taxes or look for work. It's ridiculous.

then you will probably love this

I feel you man, I live in Mass where there is a ridiculous state income tax. With federal income tax levels rising, I'm going to be getting half a paycheck. I don't even care about myself, my family could potentially get raped here as well. My parents own a small business and his small business tax plan could prove to be ruinous. This is how extremely hard work is rewarded--those of us who actually work and exert some form of agency in our own lives are taxed and forced to pay the way for people who don't. The War on Achievement, under Obama, you are evil for making money, so they are taking it all away from you to benefit the people us "greedy" money makers "oppress." bullshit

yeah, my dad makes just enough from his pension and stock market to be considered in that "upper tier" and we get taxed like a mother fucker.... like seriously. in order for me to go to college with obama's current tax plan after the stimulus bill i may need to stop skiing until im out... I DONT WANNA DO THAT.

His logic is that (quote for realz) "spreading the wealth around" will put money into the hand of the consumer, who will give it back to you! I would rather get the money I earn in the first place.

I don't hate Obama, but that specific philosophy pisses me off. Other than that, I'm still watching to see what happens.

LOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

temporary blindness, i did this to someone in a martial arts tourny one time, its kind of scary to watch in person.

umm delphi, i have tried explaining all of this to people before and everyone just shoots me down im glad someone else on here understands, thank you.

i did it to some kid in a kendo black belt rank test... he charged forward, i did a throat strike, smacked his head on the gym floor pretty good and he had to get dragged out by EMTs... i passed though.

ugh... and whoever that said Obama being elected makes us look good to the rest of the world. yeah, thats great. but i dont really care how we LOOK to the rest of the world what i care about is how we survive here, in this country.. im sorry Canada, Japan, and whatever other countries people on NS are from.... i dont give a shit how we look to the rest of the world, i just want to be able to survive and with this tax plan, im scared.

i hear you dude, It can get a little frustrating in here sometimes. I usually have to just leave ns for a while when I take part in these discussions.

to the comment about "spreading the wealth" the only thing i can say is Trickle Up Poverty.

........

my extended family is the same. its crazy how people who had the same up bringing.. then a couple end up in the "wealthy" and more than 2 end up collecting welfare checks from the rest of us. some made good choices, some worked harder, were more innovative, and they all had the same level of education.

i feel u too, my dad is a part owner in a small business, and my mom just cuts hair and stuff from our house. I am in college and so is my older sister, and i have a younger sister who will be entering college within the next four years. I am fortunate enough for my parents to make enough money working, and then had to sell a house they first lived in to help pay for my siblings and my schooling. But i live in NJ, and the taxes here are insane, i can no longer attend the university i go to, because of what is going on. My school is expensive somewhere around 43g's i have a 12g scholarship, but between my school and my sisters my parents told me they can no longer afford it. So no i have to transfer to an in state school, I have no problem with this because it will give me a chance to work and make some money while i go to school to help pay for grad school. I just feel bad for my father who has worked so hard and now alot of that will be taken away from him and given to ppl who dont deserve it. And by no means is my family rich, like i said i am fortunate for my parents to pay for school, and i plan on paying them back in the future. This whole tax thing just really pisses me off, and the whole "spreading the wealth" sry for the rant

you know what i think is funny, joe biden where the fuck is he at.... ohh ya they are hiding him because anytime he comes out in public and says something its fucking retarded and the white house has to come out and say no no thats not what joe meant by that.

fuckin joe biden my school gave him like 25g's or something for the campaign because he teaches or used to teach at the law school progam of my school

there are hundreds and thousands of people out there in the same situation. This is destroying the middle class. America was built on the backs of its middle class. I feel so terribly for the country right now. People who really work hard to support their families are being taxed to death. The mentality of hate people have in regards to people who make money is sickening, I can't stand it. Keep at it though man, I respect you for standing up my friend. We need to elect responsible people in the mid term elections and again in 2012-take back your country before the government bleeds you dry.

u said it all, its just everytime my dad comes to pick me up from school its like a 2 hour drive, and all he talks about to me is how fucked up the whole situation is, and i hate seeing him like this, hes always in a bad mood all the time, and i wanna help him out somehow, but i really dont know what i can do or if i could do anything, like yeah i have a job in the summer, and then once i communte next year to school ill be working at a ski shop for a good 8 months, but i wont make nearly enough to support myself completely which i would like to do. Just sucks, it just fuckin pisses me off sooo much that people that dont contribute to the workforce at all get a fucin check from the people to work. Fuckin deport all the illegals and make the ppl collecting welfare take their jobs

yeah, and Obama's ridiculous desires to grant amnesty to illegals is fucking insane. When the country is suffering, he wants to allow people into the country who will work for cheap money. With them here, how many AMERICANS do you think will be employed. The guy doesn't give a shit about the country or its people. He's an empty suit

and another thing, the burden of caring for all those people will definitely fall on the taxpayers back. It's incredible what this guy wants to do.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH first of all that quote you took was from an article by glenn beck among others. the one about him not knowing they were going on. i have no doubt that wast taken out of context. right, the president of the united states didnt know about the tea parties. think before you talk

liberal protesters are more violent? go choke on a dick. thats the biggest load of bullshit ive ever heard

of course he didnt respond to the tea parties, it was a bunch of morons screaming Obamas a fascist, and that its taxation without representation. its a bunch of grumpy ignorant old white people whe are too dumb to know what the original tea party was about, and buy into the fear mongering and bullshit spouted by glenn beck, sean hannity, rush limbaugh etc. there was no credibility to their protests whatsoever. for fucks sake most of the people there ARE GETTING TAX BREAKS. its the same douchebags that were all over palins proverbial knob, and though barack was the evil muslim terrorist.

honestly, think before you speak

now im out since this thread has become a conservative circle jerk. make sure you clean up afterwards.

its become a conservative circle jerk? why because the last 20 or so posts were form conservatives taking about shit thats going on and how its affecting out families? cool man

pretty much. but i will agree with you, fuck joe biden. i dont particularly like him either.

haha I was waiting for you to show up, but your opinion on the demographic of the tea parties is vastly incorrect. And I'm not saying liberal protesters are more violent, but liberal-agenda protests tend to amount to massive amounts of garbage and broken shit with hateful messages like Bush=Nazi and Israel=Nazi. You need to actually look into the situation before shitting on it. These tea parties were basically family affairs, the only shit that went down was a fucking CNN bitch reporter going nuts on the protestors in a totally unprofessional and generally bitchy ass manner. Look into it.

hahaha, i thought u were better than that Ben, i didnt know we couldnt talk about how our families hard earned money is being stripped from their hands and given to undeserving ppl without being made fun of in an immature way. my apologies, it wont happen again

i did. first of all, part of the reason liberal protests appear to get more violent, is because the police show up and start shit. your gonna call me a liberal screaming fuck the man, but its true. look at what happened at the RNC. i really dont think the hateful messages is true either. there were plenty of people at the tea parties calling obama a fascist, hitler, etc.

but for the most part cnn covered it fairly decently i thought. they gave it some coverage, and moved on. it beat the shit out of Fox egging them on, or MSNBC making scrotum jokes. honestly most of the people i saw interviewed by ANY network appeared to have no idea what they were talking about, they were just jumping on the no tax bandwagon, and doing the exact things they criticize liberals for doing. kids as props, celebrities, etc.

you can be liberal, conservative, a fascist, a socialist, a goddamn nazi, a kkk member, Chris fucking Jericho (im watching wrestling... his name just popped into my head), Stalin's ghost, Sigmund fucking Fraud.... but i think we can all agree that CNN reporter was incredibly unprofessional in the way she handled herself... honestly, she would ask a question and didnt even let the nutjob answer and would cut him off and try to spout her own ideas across the channels.... got to be honest, i think even Ben and Drew can agree with Delphi and 5dollarfootlong on that one....

how much money does your dad make? if he honestly makes enough that his "hard earned money is stripped from his hands", im sorry, but i think he can afford it.

thats quite a personal question to ask, and im not gunna answer it, but listen to this, my sisters school is in the area of 28g's,my school would cost 43gs next year, with my scholarship it would cost 31g's, combined the two together and you get 59g's a year just for school. And i was refering to not only my family but others also. And who r u to say my father can afford it? I think my family is paying somewhere between 60-80g's in taxes this year.

dude, i only have to pay 15gs per year of school with a minor scholarship.... and im worried i cant do it with student loans... sorry, but i think you should get into an in state school or get out of the private school.

because he didnt choose Sarah Palin as vice president. I think Obama has a lot yet to prove and he definately needs to fire the White House Press Secretary, that guy has his head so far up his ass

yeah im transfering to an instate school because we cant afford it here annymore, sucks too because i would be getting my doctorate in 7 years here for physical therapy, now ill have to major in bio at in instate school then apply for grad school for PT

3 years left for me... and then a test and then quite possibly another 5 for law school.... if i can afford it or get in.... goddamnit.

my dad is a bit over 100 grand. not even in the highest tax bracket. yet he can afford to send me, and my brother to school no problem. im not trying to claim, or accuse you of anything, but honestly with smart spending habits you should be able to do just fine. if your making considerably less than that, well, obama will actually benifit you, if your making more than that, well, your losing a lot of money somewhere, and i doubt its taxes. esp since if your struggling right now, you arent even under obamas taxes yet. hes been president for what, 3 months?

my dad is looking into the future because he also has to send my younger sister to school soon, my dad is the cheapest guy i know, does everything himself, if he can do it he wont pay someone to do it for him. One of the smartest spenders ive ever met, he gets it from his father who was exactly the same way. 59g's for school this year combined with 80g's in taxes thats a shit load of money.

my dads pretty cheap too. 59 gs is a lot, but with some smart spending decisions it shouldnt be impossible. my parents planned to send me and my brother both to 40g a year schools, luckily mine ended up considerably cheaper than that, but still. its definitely do able.

i know its not a problem to afford now, like i said i have a younger sibling that is going to school soon also, therefore my parents think its a smart spending decision to send me to a cheaper school so she could go to a good school also

cut spending somewhere else. vacations, entertainment, eating out, whatever. imo education is a lot more important than a lot of those things.

we r not going on vacation because of this, we dont really go to any entertainment events, my mom is a sick italian woman who loves to cook...i really dont know wat else to tell u

idk then. your moneys gotta be going somewhere but im gonna drop it because its not really my job to criticize your family's spending

do u get financial aid? how bad r the taxes where u live? ur family is paying for 2 schools right now and its not a problem same with mine, but they have to start saving for my younger sister soon also, which is why i opted to not go to the same school next year to help them save
