NS Cook Book.

Whoa, sick thread, how did I miss this? Heres mine:

REAL ULTIMATE TOP RAMEN

Cooking time: About 10 min

Prep Time: None if you chop while the water boils

Ingredients:

- 1 Bag of Top Ramen, your favorite flavor (I go with chicken)

- 1 Head Bok Choy (Most stores have it, it looks like a small head of lettuce)

- 1/8 cup yellow or white onion

- 1 Ballpark Frank (or something else that plumps when you cook 'em)

- Sesame Seed Oil

- 1 Green Onion, small or 1/2 a large one

- Chili Pepper Sauce (the red kind with the green tops, most Pho places have these)

- Any other vegetables you think you might like (Carrots, Celery and Corn are popular with my friend)

- Cilantro (optional)

Ok, so take some water, about 4 cups or whatever is reccommended on the pack of ramen. Boil it like you would normally. While its boiling, chop a thin slice of onion (which I figured was about 1/8 cup), the green onion (into diagonal slices, very important) and the bok choy. To properly cut the Bok Choy, cut off the base so all the leaves separate, then wash, then dice to desired size. Chop the hot dog into small rounds, like you would a carrot. Once the water is boiling, add ingredients as follows:

1) Onion (or other hard veggies)

2) Hot Dog

Wait 1 min

3) Ramen Noodle block

Wait 1 min

4) Green Onion

5) Bok Choy

6) Flavor Packet

Adding things like sesame oil, hot sauce and the flavoring ultimately destroys the soup, as most of the stuff just boils off. Add these last or after its off the heat (as explained below).

Ok, now let that cook until the noodles are to your liking. In the meantime, develop your bowl. In your Ramen Bowl, add 1 tsp of Sesame Seed Oil to the bottom. On top of this, add cilantro (if you like it) and then on top of that, add the red sauce. Its pretty spicy, so be careful your first try. I go with about a tablespoon, but I like mine really hot.

Once the noodles are done, dump the soup into your pre-made bowl. Immediatly devour. Soooooooo good.

THE SUM-DUM-GAI VARIATION:

Another Ramen variation. Follow instructions above, but strain the broth after the noodles are done. Add Ho-Sin sauce to the pot, and stir to mix with the noodles. Add furi-maki (ask at an asian market for it, its sesame seeds, seaweed and dried fish, it goes really good on rice) and consume your Sum-Dum-Gai.

Milk Shake

1. Get a cup

2.Fill the base of the cup with milk about 2 cm

3. put flavoring in the cup : Raspberry, Strawberry, Vanilla, Choc.

4.fill the rest of the cup with ice cream.

5. Pour the cup into the blender.

6. Put lid on blender and hit the mix button.

7.Pour in to the same glass

8. Drink it.

best burgers ever: my covented "Jack" burgers

get a bunch of hamburger meat (the kind that you make your own with, not pre shaped)

put meat into a bowl

get out the jack daniels

add about half a shot per 1/4 pound of beef

take black angus bbq sauce and add a tablespoon or two per 1/4 pound of beef

add about 2 teaspoons of ranch dressing per 1/4 pound of beef

mix all together

form patties of about 1/4 pound size or whatever size you want depending on your hunger (1/4 pound just fits nicely into a bun and cooks perfectly

throw burgers onto grill at a medium temperature (350-375 degrees is good)

once they start bleeding on top flip once and only once

place buns onto grill to toast slightly

put chedder jack cheese onto burgers and allow to melt

once melted, the burgers should be grilled all the way through

throw the burgers onto the bun, toss on some ketchep and enjoy the orgy of your tastbuds going on in your mouth

this is pretty simple but it tastes soooo good

im not sure what to call it. i guess England meets Mexico:

take an english muffin and cut it in half. take 2 slices of process cheese and put them on it. feel free to put seasonings on it. i normally like to put a little bit of hot sauce on it. gives it a nice mexican kick.

next, put the top on and stick that shit in the microwave for 45 seconds on high, no more, no less. and when she comes out, steamy hot goodness!

Skiing pasta

can be used for any kind of pasta

boil

strain

leave in whatever you cooked it in, add garlic salt, table spoon ish of olive oil, some basil, and parmesan to taste

hits the spot after a day of skiing

michalenas zap ems mac n cheese.

add toms red hot sauce.

fritoes+dijon mustard

2 eggos waffles. add a half stick of margarine to both. let melt. add chalua hot sauce.

all 3 are seperate quick snacks i hav all the time

ingrediants:

milk chocolate

graham crackers

put the milk chocolate in a bowl, put the bowl in the microwave until chocolate is melted. take the melted chocolate out and put small chunks of graham crackers on top. put the bowl in the freezer and wait until its completley frozen. take out of freezer and enjoy

triple decker grilled cheeses. SOOOO GOOOD

just make a regular and then put another piece of cheese and bread and then flip it and then add another cheese and bread and flip once more. delicious

Or instead you can use real fruit, like raspberries, bananas, oranges, apples, etc, and put in less ice cream. It makes it a little less like a milkshake and more of a smoothy, but still good. Also, you can use soymilk to give it a different taste.

Another idea:

Kick ass burrittos

One can each of : Pinto, Garbanzo, and Black beans

Block of Cheddar Cheese

Green, Red, or Yellow bell peppers and tomatos

Three tortillas per burritto

Cheese Grater

Microwave

Cutting Board

Small Cutting Knife

Pour three cans of beans into collander, and rinse them out because the stuff they can them in is pretty nasty. You can change the type of beans or the amount, but those three seem to go together pretty well for me.

Grate the cheese. I usually use Soft or Medium Cheddar, but I have also used Pepper Jack and Swiss to make equally good burrittos, so try it out. Place the cheese to the side.

Cut up the bell peppers and tomatos into nickle sized chunks. I haven't tried other veggies, but I am sure you could throw them in.

The first step of combining everything looks a lot like a quesadilla. Spread grated cheese on top of a tortilla, then beans on top of the cheese and then the veggies on top of that. Lay another tortilla on top, and microwave until the cheese is completely melted. I find it takes about 3mins with my microwave. One could also grill it on a griddle or on a gas or charcoal grill, but I haven't tried that.

After taking the quesadilla out of the microwave, fold it in half, and wrap the third tortilla around the bottom to prevent the contents from falling on your expensive designer pants.

Enjoy with a beverage of choice, and be warned that this will fill you up.

cook patty till donw

try to fit in a hotdog bun and eat

i can add to this.

meringue cookies, my favorite holiday cookie.

Not sure about all the amounts but i'm sure you can find a recipe very easily.

basically egg whites whipped to shit (duh meringue), fold in sugar, a little vanilla, and mini chocolate chips.

should end up with something like a chocolate chip batter you drop with two spoons in about a quarter sized mound then bake.

turn out as little white crispy chocolate chip cookies that look and have about the same vertical as any pennsylvania mountain.
