Wallpapers from almost each event or news article would be dope, there are always sweet photos taken i'd like to see on my computer screen background in full size, everyday

when you upload a video have there be a SONG TITLE(s) thing so no one needs to ask

i think it would be dope for in your profile, for your home you could enter your town/city and then you could click on it and it would go to a list of all the other members on NS that live there too.. and same thing for home mountain etc

kind of how facebook is

def have the grandmaster/leaders of cults have special powers (delete threads, make stickies, etc)

and bring back quick chat
 
ya i agreee that would be soo dope.

also if you had a place where you could see all the people on NS that are going to your summer camp the same session as you, so you know some people when you actually get to like windells or momentum or something

oh and sell NS bandanas if u send in an SASE. sorta like the stickers
 


-A trick tips section would be dope. It could have a video trick tip from a pro like every week or so.

-As everyone said, a searchbar for cults

-Some kind of weather page: powder alerts, a weather message board, so we can see where it has dumped. It could be placed on the front page.

-Video blogs (why not?)

-Get more exposure to the gear swap (and the reviews section). Putting a nice little icon (like the $$ signs) to members who did like 5 reviews or so would be a good idea to promote the reviews.

 
whenever there is a show going give it like a really obvious notice. like a flashing button or something to grab peoples attention. I always seam to miss them.

get rid of the "Latest Additions" for the video section becuase no one looks at the categories anymore.. you get comments like "wow why no music?" beucase they expect an edit which is retarded becuase you posted it in "Jumps". Also your videos will stay neer the top longer becuase when people add new videos they wont all go to the same category that everyone looks at and it wont get pushed to like the third page within like 2 days.
 
Many good things have been mentioned here, so no need to bring them up again. However, I strongly disagree with adding pictures, even small ones, to signatures. They drive me crazy in other forums and make everything look cluttered and disorganized. Some peoples signatures are frustrating as they are now.

Also, would we be able to have the site optimized for a higher screen resolution? Or to have it auto adjust for larger resolutions and widescreen ones? I've got a massive grey section that takes up 1/3 of the screen on the right hand side. Maybe centre everything if that doesn't work.
 
i say get rid of all signatures and def no pics in the sig and dont know if it has been said yetbuti also think they should add that thing where you hover over the thread title and you can see the first few lines of it
 
i love how you guys have been changin the start page picture alot, and the pix are sick, if u could download the startpage pic as a "full size desktop wallpaper" that would be sick... or maybe just a link to where u could download it.

Easier said than done. bandwidth is expensive. Just use youtube or something else, otherwise you'd have to pay for the privledge on NS.

Another problem, I seemed to get logged out sometimes when clicking links. For instance, I logged in to the main page, scrolled down and saw the link to "07/08 Site Suggestions". I was forwarded to this thread but was logged out. Not the biggest deal, but it is frustrating none the less.

About the upload size... It seems that there is a failry large amount of bandwidth, or at least enough to allow tons of people to upload as many 8mb files as they would like... would it be really a stretch to make it 20?
 
i dunno if it's been suggested already, but can we allow bigger forum icons like to 900kb or 1mb or sumthing like that? i think if all the icons were gifs, this site would be slightly more entertaining.
 
under ski equipment there should be somekind of box that you can check if a product is sold or not under comments so that people will know when its sold or not and they dont have to ask
 
I don't know if this has been said, I haven't read this in a while but why not clean up the cults. So many of those are dead.
