Is anybody else sick of how every teenybopper in the world wears a north face liner and somehow thinks that they look like a badass skier.
 
Fact: Every girl at my school has at least one black Northface/mostly columbia liner. Just thought I'd through that out there
 
yea my mom works at a private school and everytime they get rid of lost and found there are at least 15 black northface jackets

i got a northface for our end of the year present for field hockey, i feel like a douche wearing it.. it was supposed to be embroidered but it never happened

girls now a days (ages 12-20) have a uniform..

ha at my school we dont have a dress code or anything so most of the girls wear pajama pants, hoodie, and beanies. its pretty chill.

we have one girl who wears NF sweaters, she's all into the NOLS program stuff and talks about it all the time, but i took her climbing once and she didnt know how........
 
I wear a North Face shell that I picked up 4 years ago. Best investment I've ever made. It looks brand new every time I wash it. But I do know where you're coming from with the Denalis, it has gotten a little rediculous. I wonder how long the fad will stay around though cause North Face has been popular forever, my parents wore it and stuff. I dont see it ending until every little kid in Vietnam has one.
 
think before you call people prep whores. Those people are probably just smarter than you because the North Face has a lifetime warrenty on all of their gear from manufacturing flaws, which is more than you can say about almost every other winter gear company. I would rather have a shitload of northface gear because it's quality, then some other companies that may look better but sucks.

and: burton Vent pants suck big balls. Ive had mine for 2 seasons, and the waterproofing has worn off, leaving my ass wet and cold. i dont think i'll buy burton apparel again.
 
hmm lets see, usually when a company makes a good product, it becomes popular and people purchase it. Dont act like its shit on a clothes rack with the NF logo. Is it over priced? absolutely. Is it ridiculous that kids under the age of 13 wear NF? Yes. Are you being a douche bag for trying to act superior because you only wear CORE products and you feel you need to share it with everyone? Yes. Just buy what you like and shut up.
 
Yea this kinda gets to me. Like I assume if your wearin shit like that,11 you ski and backpack etc. and are chill or whatever. Now I turn to the chick in the north face next to me and all i get is "like, uhhhhhh, like, whatever girlfriend!!!1! LOLzz11!"
 
i work softgoods at a ski shop and we sell out of that shit like its gold. thats all anyone buys. its just because they know and trust the name.
 
i got a north face liner years ago and have been amazed at the surprising number of preppy girls now wearing them. mine has stayed my bag for a while.
 
Most of the girls that I know who wear the North Face Denali jackets, Uggs, Hollister jeans, etc., wouldn't give a shit about the price or warranty. Daddy takes care of all that for them. If I didn't know for a fact that none of them have considered stepping onto a hill for any purpose other than flirting with cute skier/boarder boys, then yes, I'd be more open minded about their reasoning behind their purchases.
 
I went to a catholic high school in georgia and every day in winter when you didnt have to wear a uniform, every single girl would have a north face jacket(like the fleece ones). They dont give a shit about warrenty, price, whatever. It's just a brand name, but no one has any individuality. they are all the same except for a few colors. its was annoying.

 
haha. Try going to college on the east coast, even worse boston. Absolutely everyone has uggs and North face. It's an official uniform basically.
 
just re-waterproof them brah.. the waterproofing does wear out. you can get stuff from outdoors stores that you put in your washing machine, or you can take them to a drycleaners and get them to do it for you.
 
i dont even think its the brands rep for making good products at this point, its just the trend. its not so much that NF is in style as much as just the Denali jackets, specifically in black, that are in. I see sooo many of those jackets (often with the "uniform that michelle posted) and i cant understand why its so rare to see them in colors other than black.
 
Every cunt rag of a whore bitch girl at my school wears that shit and thinks they are some cool mofucker, when in reality I see them and get out my 9, load it, cock it, put it to their dome, and CLAP!!. Well maybe I don't really do that but I feel like doing it.

I'm calling it the mall uniform cause every dumb bitch I see at the mall is wearing that shit.

North Face used to be good, now a lot of their shit just sucks major dick and is expensive. Companies like Patagonia, and Marmot are making way nicer technical stuff.

 
yeah same with my school, and they are like 150-160 dollars. You could get a sick/nice jacket for that price. everyone just wants to be cool and have there shitty black north face fleece.
 
ooooh man no way. definitely out here in seattle. Just come down and you'll see that everyone and their mom (literally) has a north face jacket.
 
thats crazy, i just noticed it a few days ago. I work in a real rich area, and EVERY SINGLE GIRL wears that shit. Its a fuckin northface ugg boot fest
 
absolutely hate people who do shit like that, i'd say about 85-90% of the skiers/borders in my school are posers, then you have the others who shred, Ive only met about 10-15 other people who are actually good, and only 6 or so are good at park (I'm not great at park yet so I can't really talk lol, but i am good at just skiing out of the park)
 
havn't notched the NF trend in canada yet sure it'll hit here soon though

Uggs are fucking everywhere though and its pretty annoying seeing every gurl have a pair of them
 
i guess i am the only one who sees the upside to this trend. being a dirt poor ski bum, i have picked up north face and helley hansen fleeces that some prep got tired of at the thrift store for $3 a pice. it saves me a helluva lot of money on buying quality gear.
 
yes, they always race through my park on there 190 fichser race skis and go off the lips to the boxes and rails like there jumps then ruin them. screw them.

seriously though, i think uggs are the uggliest pieces of cloth that could ever be applied to a foot in shoe format, and the general trend at my school is for all the good looking (and subsequently) dumb girls to wear them. and im not saying that all good looking girls are dumb, im just pointing out that at my school it happens to be that the good looking girls aren't the brightest.
 
haaaa sorry bud but Im pretty sure the 13 and 14 year old jewish girls all over long island and new jersey arent looking at the lifetime warranty or waterproofing when their parents are ordering it for them off of their Platinum visa card.

Though I absolutely agree that NF is a good product.
 
the north face sells more womens denalis, then all of the mens summit series combined. Thats from a north face rep.
 
it's been preppy/fratty for a long time, it is still a good brand, just has been taken down by the fact so many people have realized it. I have a few fleeces, still a great product.
 
Ok, I understand what your saying, but think, how many "jewish long island girls" really care about a fleece? Yeah they want something fashionable, but in most cases its just the parents who say, hunny you need a fleece, and they go buy them a NF because its a very reputable brand, which will last a long time. You guys are looking way too far into it, because your all outer wear addicts. Most people (remember we are talking about average consumers) really don't care what they wear in terms of outer wear (of course there are some that definitely do). Now UGGZ on the other hand...
