Nick Geopper Just another B&E When He's not at Xgames

Harlaut and Goepper aren't so different at all. Individually, they both have style and technical tricks, but know when to use them in the right context.
 
Glad to see that he isn't some dirtbag with dreads, rasta goggles, and some ratty old long cotton t shirt. For real, I could show anyone this video and not be embarrassed by the clowns attempting to make skiing look hood.

Personally I'm not a huge Geopper fan but props for him. Some of the tricks were meh but others were super tech!
 
I think Goepper is just a skier. That likes to go skiing. And skis the way he feels like skiing when he's not competing to win. Then he filmed that skiing and made an edit.

Doesn't this sound like every other skier out there including all of you on NS? People need to realize that we're all just skiers and when we are just out there cruising or filming, we should be skiing for ourselves, not what we think is going to make us look cool or popular.

Goepper is not trying to be the next Bobby Brown in comps, or act gangster with no poles, or be all "B and E", or try to get on TC. Those are all labels that many of you have given him. It looks to me that when he was at Mt. Snow he went skiing, did the tricks he wanted, and had fun. Then made an edit. And I for one think it was sick.
 
sick skiing. amazing kids are bitching about his clothes. who cares, hes doing something he loves and hes one of the best. just shows how materialistic and based on looks our sorry generation is.
 
Style is all about opinion. IMO I dont think he has good style. He is obviously an incredible skier with tons of tricks but I just don't like his style. Yes, wearing baggier clothing helps hide flaws however its not going to make someone have better style.

Saying that people would be all over him if he wore baggier clothing and that his style would be considered better is just retarded. By that basis you're saying you've never seen anyone in baggy clothing with bad style. Kenworthy doesn't really wear baggy clothing, I like his style. I used to not like it but he got better and smoother over the past few year. Goepper is young and can obviously improve but right now I think his style sucks.

People being like, OHHH why is everyone hating?!? Its generally not gonna be hate when its a pro skier. Its having an opinion on a pro skiers style who is at the forefront of our sport. You wanna be a pro skier, people are gonna comment on your skiing. You wanna call the kid a douche without knowing him...Then you are a hater.

Also, why the hell are you comparing him to B&E? He puts out an edit of himself doing some regular skiing and you feel the need to compare him to B&E? Just stop. Like I said before, style is opinion.However in my opinion if you think his style and skill is even remotely close to HH, then you're just watching something different than me.
 
Mount snow still puts out some banger edits without nick. Kids up at snow kill it. But you're right they should help out more kids but its tough being a mountain on the east coast, you know that. Moneys not always there, don't forget to give mount snow the credit they deserve. A whole side of their mountain is a park, where else on the east can you get that?
 
Mount Snow does hook up almost a dozen local kids. Mostly snowboarders though, since their marketing/park crew is 100% snowboarders and don't really know whats up in the ski world.

Also, Goepper is just having fun shredding a fun park. He's a super chill kid and he just loves skiing. You kids need to get the sand out of your vaginas. Who cares if he's "copying" B&E? All you kids do the same thing, you just aren't as good at it.
 
I like Nick alot. Nice guy, great skiier. But leave this style to B&E I mean ive been riding lately with no poles because i cant groom the park with poles and a rake in my hand so i just leave my poles at home and i honestly really like no poles but still. When your a tech skiier like him keep the poles. Hes not known for this kind of stuff and it looks unnatural and forced. Just my opinion. Still a sick edit.

in reality, all the people talking shit about geopper would be on his nuts faster than shawn johnson if he was taking some laps through their home park.

take away the red bull helmet and the normal fitting outerwear, and in my opinion, he shares the same mentality about skiing as henrik.
 
Nick should never not use poles. I don't have anything against the guy, and I definitely thought there were some pretty cool/creative shots in that edit but he definitely is more of a comp skier.
 
Okay maybe not all over the place but he always seems to have them just slightly lifted up instead of relaxed by his side regardless of the technicality of the trick. hence acceptable arm position on a 4 on but when doing tricks considered steezy it just makes them look forced.
 
Meh, I'm not a goepper hater, but just didn't like that edit much, his arms just managed to make what were legitimately sick tricks look a bit gay.
 
It doesn't really matter at all actually.

You don't have to be better then someone to pass judgment or dislike their style.

true as far as freedom of speech goes, but as far as skiing goes it really most definitely matters. and if you're gonna try to tell me it doesn't then you're just being ignorant
 
you say you wouldnt think he was more stylish with baggier clothes but a bet 95% of you would think it, i thought it was a sick edit! He is just doing his own thing, its called freeskiing for a reason
 
I hope goepper is featured on a B&E so you guys can stop talking about this. The kid can ski and I don't know why there's any reason to hate on that. The guy is doing everything you guys could ask for, sick tricks and going no poles, and he plans to move in the filming direction. He is young, give him a break.

So let me get this straight? nick goepper takes silver and gold in 2 years at X-Slopestyle but he has no style........ Get over it Goepper is better than you are and he grew up skiing in Indiana. Props to the midwest kid to progress to what he is today with the lack of terrain and conditions growing up.
 
I was thinking the exact same thing op I watched the edit and was like, what? Did I actually just enjoy that haha. I normally don't like his style and technicality.
 
alright, i respect goepper, he's doing his thing which is cool. but, i just think its straight up ugly when he skis. even my mom comes in here who doesn't know shit about skiing, looks at the edit, and says "i don't like this guy as much as the others, he doesn't look losse enough"
 
Man do kids on NS knit pick the shit outta pro skiers. Maybe if they spend more time worrying about their own skiing instead of someone else's they'd be a whole lot better.
 
You don't need to take away the helmet or the outerwear to state that they share the same mentality about skiing. Both of them are in the game to have as much fun as possible on a pair of skis. How they go about achieving that might be slightly different, but I guarantee you that both Nick and Henrik wake up in the morning with the same goal of going out to the mountain and having as much fun that day as possible. Tell me that isn't the way skiing should be.
 
thats the point i was trying to get at. i used red bull as an example because i think it gives him a reputation as a spin to win competition skier (which he may be as well but thats ok) and most people hate on him for that. i think that he is definitely a competition skier but also truly loves to ski and dick around and have fun like in this edit. that's what skiing is all about, skiing whichever way gives you the most satisfaction.
 
I'll be the first one to say it. This edit was better than any of the recent b&es. I don't see how people can like when henrik does butters and no poles but hate on goepper for it

you see, i will hate all i want because i dont care if you're doing a switch dub misty 12 grabbing the tip of your ski or a 180, if you dont have style it's not worth shit.

How could you hate on gus and not hate on this guy? ahahaahah

And that edit was just pathetic, acting all b&e like he's trying to get the approval of ns or i dont know
