I mean, to be fair Brady IS the goat. And the Pats ARE the best team ever. So...

That game last night was insane. Cincinnati fans showing their true colors cheering when their team injured players and throwing trash at them too. Cinci threw the game away.

Pretty shocked how terrible the Texan's played, was rooting for the bengals to win as well. Stoked for todays games as well, I think the redskins might beat the packers.

Don't think so I think that game will be a blowout and Rodgers will have a monster game and the media will be able to cream all over him like they did the first 3-4 weeks of the season trying to debate that he was as good/better than Brady. Their D hasn't shown up in months it will today.

Good defensive slugfest here by the Vikings need more points Wilson steps it up late when hes trailing and the other D goes into prevent mode.

I mean I bet my buddy the redskins will win, nothing big but I think they're a good pick. Their offense is top teir right now and green bays defense isn't that great. I wouldn't be surprised if its a shoot out, but green bays offense hasn't really been that great.

And Seattle will pull through in the 4th no doubt, they've been super close to breaking out on a couple big plays, one will hit soon.

Yeah I bet it ends 10-9 Seattle the Vikings will choke this.

Haha I posted that sentance before that botched snap big play noone is better at getting huge plays like that than the Seahawks.

If Cousins beats Rodgers today I guess that means he will have joined the ranks of the NFL elite QBs. I'd like them to win but can't see it.

Should have put an ingame bet on Seattle after Minny went up 9-0 was thinking of it during the drive and waiting for a timeout or something.

Packers finally came through! Maybe they will figure out what went wrong against the cardinals and make it a good game next week.

Rings dont lie bro....

No kidding

And you were alive for how many? That is like the Boston Celtic fans of our generation saying we are the best team in history because of all our rings.

Frankly, it may be true, but seeing 4 rings is a lot better than seeing 2.

I mean, you're claiming accomplishments of the past, does it actually matter if you were alive?

You guys should both stop bitching and whoever's team goes farther this year has the bigger dick, deal?

I'm just pointing out the irony in the situation. You want to celebrate wins like that, at least do it when you can experience it. No one from our generation cares about the Red Auerbach teams from the 20th century since we can't relate.

Frankly, with the news about Gronk being at the hospital today for a knee injection I am not too sure we will get very far.

You're silly if you think Gronk is the key player for the patriots. Let's talk about how they have no offensive line, no WR or RBs and a top 3 QB that has to do everything. They won't make it far even with Gronk.

The last two weeks should provide the Pats with some needed health and rest benefits. OL is gaining Vollmer back, Edelman and Amendola should be "healthy" compared to a few weeks ago.

Gronk is the key player, I think anyone would say he is the x-factor for the Patriots winning games. Edelman is nice, so is Amendola, but Gronk is Gronk.

Yeah, anyone who is uneducated about football would think Gronk is an x-factor, but that's the majority of fans. He makes good plays, but anyone that knows football is aware of how important first of defense is, which the patriots have been struggling and also how important your offensive line it. You can't run the ball with the best RB or pass the ball with the best QB if your offensive line gets blown out every play. I don't care is Vollmer is back, thats 1 of 5 OL that know what the fuck they're doing. It's funny how undervalued the OL and DL are for most teams, they can make or break a good defense or a good QB/RB.

Anyways, the patriots aren't the 2015 super bowl winning team (that almost lost, again) and it has been showing. I'm curious to see them play the chiefs, their defense has been top notch recently.

The only losses the OL has had this season has been Solder and up till now, Vollmer. After that, the line is almost identical to that of last season, minus Dan Connolly, who frankly was quite old and not very good. The reason the OL was not getting blown by in the first half of the season was due to the variety of options Brady had and the quickness at which he could release the ball. Edelman, Amendola, Lewis, and Gronk are all very good at getting separation close to the line, meaning Brady can pass before any pass rush can get to him.

Additionally, Gronk can take 2 to 3 players out of the play because he cannot be covered by one man, he needs a combo of an LB/CB with a SS . That leaves one less man to cover a WR and one less to rush the passer. You saw that with Edelman, Amendola, or Lewis being left with one man in the open field.

Do not forget that Brady was playing with 1.5 WRs (Amendola was hobbled for most of the 2nd half of the season) who were on the starting roster. This was the reason the OL looked awful, he had no one to throw the ball to.

So please, try to tell me Gronk is not the x-factor.

Gronk is not the x-factor. That was easy.

Let's be honest, Brady is clearly the reason that anything happens on the patriots, he is the x-factor.

....Yes and no. Look at Matt Cassell's year. Brady is certainly part, but without Gronk or Edelman he struggles, look at the second half of the season.

No one will argue he is not the most important player on the team, but without Gronk he looks quite ordinary given other things being held constant. Gronk is the most dominant offensive player in the league right now.

Antonio brown is the most dominant offensive player right now, don't kid yourself. Maybe most dominant TE but there's also Jordan Reed and Eifert (even tho they were both hurt). Gronk had an average year and made some good plays, but you're being blinded by your masshole fandom.

Jordan Reed and Eifert are not even close to the player Gronk is. Gronk too was hurt, so injuries are a moot point.

I don't think 1,100+ yards, 11 TDs, 70+ catches on 120 targets is an average year, but that is just me.

Antonio Brown is very good, but Gronk is an entirely different monster. His blocking, catching, and frankly route running skills are unbelievable. There is not a single player in the NFL that can match him in man coverage.

Antonio Brown is not even the undisputed best WR in the league currently, you have Julio and AJ up there, hell, even Calvin to consider. Sherman did a nice job covering him too.

Alright, I give up. You pats fans are way too fucking dense to talk about football with.

No point arguing a new england fan, their players are always the best in their mind, I bet this dude would argue that edelman is the best WR in the league.

Haha I know man, I was just joking. I have a buddy who's a huge NE fan. And he's not even smart about it. He retweets all these NE fan accounts about all these records but if you do some research they aren't records or accurate. They just like to praise Brady.

Lol 6 rings in how many years? 4 of those were won over 30 years ago haha.

Meanwhile the Pats won 4 in what, like 11 years?

I can't wait see pat fans drown when Brady/Belichick retire and the pats dont win a championship for 50 years.

It's merely a differing of opinion, you have your reasons why you think you are right, I have mine. I would take Gronk over AB any day. I think he is a more potent red zone option and frankly a more valuable piece to a team. He does more than just catching and running.

You just can't handle someone having a different opinion than yours. Stats will back your point and they will back mine, it is that simple. I just find it ironic when we actually talk football strategy (i.e. Brady's release times with Edelman and without) you completely ignore it.

And hell no would I consider Edelman the best WR in the league. He is a great competitor, and a very good WR, but he is a full level below a Julio, Brown, Green, Beckham, or Johnson. He is up there with the Sanders, DT, J. Brown, and TY Hilton's of the league.
