NFL Playoffs 2016

I can't wait see pat fans drown when Brady/Belichick retire and the pats dont win a championship for 50 years.

The Patriots have become known for taking average/below average players and making them exceptional. I really don't see a problem filling the void Brady leaves behind. As for Belichick, he has plenty of years left and I'm not too worried.

I love how much hate any other fan has for the Pats/pats fans. It's literally because our team is better than yours. From the coaching and play calling to the players themselves. There's a reason the Pats have been this good for this long. So I welcome the butthurt. I welcome people calling us cheaters even though statistically we've "cheated" less than many, many other teams in the league. You literally hate us because you ain't us lol.

You're silly if you think Gronk is the key player for the patriots. Let's talk about how they have no offensive line, no WR or RBs and a top 3 QB that has to do everything. They won't make it far even with Gronk.

Wait so Eidelman, LaFell and Amendola aren't top-tier receivers? Because you are wrong my friend.

Why do the other injuries on the team mean Gronk isn't the key player?

Yeah, anyone who is uneducated about football would think Gronk is an x-factor, but that's the majority of fans. He makes good plays, but anyone that knows football is aware of how important first of defense is, which the patriots have been struggling and also how important your offensive line it. You can't run the ball with the best RB or pass the ball with the best QB if your offensive line gets blown out every play. I don't care is Vollmer is back, thats 1 of 5 OL that know what the fuck they're doing. It's funny how undervalued the OL and DL are for most teams, they can make or break a good defense or a good QB/RB.

Anyways, the patriots aren't the 2015 super bowl winning team (that almost lost, again) and it has been showing. I'm curious to see them play the chiefs, their defense has been top notch recently.

Normally I'd agree with you, but the o-line has been a shit show for the Pats all season with injuries and constant rotations, but it wasn't until week 10 when Lewis, Edelman, Amendola, Gronk, and Blount started getting hurt that the Pats began struggling offensively. So it seems like in this case it is the weapons getting injured that's having a bigger impact than the o-line getting injured. Unless you want to argue that my crazy, patriot loving brain is just tricking me into thinking that the Patriots led the league offensively through week 10, and in reality were terrible offensively all season.

And you're right, they aren't the same team, sadly because of injuries. Dunno what that "almost lost, again" in parentheses is supposed to mean.

but without Gronk he looks quite ordinary given other things being held constant.

Jesus, dude, let's not say things we can't take back. Tom Brady? Ordinary? Those two words don't belong together, ever.

It's merely a differing of opinion, you have your reasons why you think you are right, I have mine. I would take Gronk over AB any day. I think he is a more potent red zone option and frankly a more valuable piece to a team. He does more than just catching and running.

You just can't handle someone having a different opinion than yours. Stats will back your point and they will back mine, it is that simple. I just find it ironic when we actually talk football strategy (i.e. Brady's release times with Edelman and without) you completely ignore it.

And hell no would I consider Edelman the best WR in the league. He is a great competitor, and a very good WR, but he is a full level below a Julio, Brown, Green, Beckham, or Johnson. He is up there with the Sanders, DT, J. Brown, and TY Hilton's of the league.

Bump

There are 20 receivers that are better than edelmen, 30 that are better than lafell and amendola is a backup basically, he would never play if the pats actually had a WR1.

Yea that was a good game tho.

Now that my teams out im rooting for the panthers to win. Hope cam gets a ring

Very good game. I like both teams though so I was happy with the outcome. I will say neither team played to their full potential and that was disappointing. If the Broncos want to go to the SB they need to start being more consistent.

I think the cardinals might pull a win over the panthers..
