Newschoolers, Lets see your Whips!

my family owns an auto repair shop. its pretty big its got 9 bays, and lots of room to expand, this year is our 50th year in business so we have a large customer base.

the camaro in the background is my brothers, he just graduated and now is working full time, he bought that and is now saving for a house.

i'm 19, in college, and i work all summer and every break to pay my car off.

i'm a lucky kid, but its not like i've had everything handed to me, the dirtbike is nice because thats my main profession. i've been racing since i was 8, and the bike next to my car was given to me for free by KTM North America (its a deal, i give it back at the end of the season but still, free bike =] )

Looks slightly different now, with cooper works decals on the side and a sticker job.Hopefully having blackrims with blue accents this summer.

Well, after finally waiting forever to get my license. (damn strike in ontario) I got my license and the news that ill be getting my step dad's 07 envoy as he is getting his dads cadilac SRX. Im soooo stoked. Ill have pictures up soon.

Heres my old 1990 BMW 325i 5 spd. It was lowered on bilstein sport struts/H&R sport springs. Super fun to drive on the twisties, anyone who knows e30's will have respect.

And my current 1996 Subaru Outback wagon. 5 spd, of course. Live in the snow now, need something to get me around and haul my shit. As much as I miss my old BMW, I fucking love Subaru's. This outback can take anything you throw at her.

Yea but the original mode has tires that are useless, no winch, and is too low to the ground for the places that it drives in. The mods aren't for looks, but for use.

i think what he meant is that land rovers (these days anyway) are kind of seen as big, luxurious sports cars as opposed to offroading machines.

ok, but that is still not the path I would go. First off, the original wheels complement the car a lot better. And yes, I know the originals will break driving offroad, but I would get some new ones that complement the car better like the originals.
2nd, yellow lights never look good, except for occasionally when the drls, headlights, and reverse lights are changed to yellow to match.. I agree that lightbars can be sick and very functional, but put some clear lenses on
but again, I dont want to come off as a douche or pushy or anything, so do what you like

haha no worries man, i don't like the yellow either, so it's gone to clear anyway. and yea i was thinking maybe some more pleasing wheels looks-wise, but realistically they're just gonna get bunged up by rocks and whatnot, so i felt like a pair of steels would make more sense, especially when it's out of my pocket. i'm open to comments though, you're not being a douche when you explain it, only if you were to say "that's ugly as shit why would you do that?!?" or something along those lines, but anything constructive or opinion-wise is perfectly welcome!

I know right, it happened about 3 weeks ago, the original quote was 1,000 more then purchased. But we will see what i get in actuality

word. well maybe try to keep the original wheels at least until they break, and when you do get new ones, try to get some that will pop a little more, like the originals. its such a good looking car that i think you should definitely try to find something with some chrome, silver, or polished metal on them. also, if you lean to a more deep-dish wheel (more negative offset, i think?) the wheels will be less likely to get banged up

it was mine too, for 7 years, then i got one. however, it falls apart.. im sure you know that if you know anything about the land rovers from the 90's - early 2000's. but yeah try to get on 03 or 04 discovery II if you do get one
