If we're going technically here. A DV on the car would give it more HP. A chipped 1.8t is supposed to peak at about 16-18 lbs (depending on the flash and company you get). But if you don't get an aftermarket DV you definitely won't be peaking at 16, if you're lucky the stock DV would start leaking out at about 14/15. Now if you grab a nice DV (I like Forge 007s personally, they make a little BOV sound, plus they come with extra springs for different boost levels it lets out at) you can easily hold 16-18, and more if you tweak it higher. Even on a stock car with just really minor mods a new DV would let you hold a pound or two more boost. Just don't tighten it all the way where the boost doesn't let out
Disclaimer: Don't just tweak your boost up on a stock turboed car with a boost controller, different diodes, or any other bypassing method. It'll run like shit. If you know what you're doing, and you'll get a professional tune, and you buy the right parts to hold higher boost, and you generally aren't doing it just to try and get HP for the least amount of money possible, then go for it. If you aren't going to do those things, you'll f*** up your car.
