New Sigma lense or Rocket launcher?

well its called the APO 200-500 f2.8

its the first lens to come with an aperture of 2.8 at 500 mm

ohh and as far as price goes if you have to ask then you cant afford it. $25,000

it looks like a kids toy or something.you could never guess it was a camera lense if it dident have sigma on it.

that all depends on the camera. if you have a Canon 10,20,30,40D or rebel series which has a crop factor of 1.6 then the lens is a 320-800

if your on a Nikon DX style camera thos have 1.5x crop factor so it would be a 300-750 lens

believe it comes with a 2x extender made just for it too that takes it to a 400-1000 5.6

The zoom range kills it for me, I'd rather see a prime 600mm 2.8.

If your into eroding image quality definitely go with a 2X extender.
