New PC Setups......

Seems like the pic revamp took a step backwards...The last jump as a step down was so much fun, now the step-over/up seemed like it was rushed. There was basically no tranny on the takeoff today and it bucked you pretty hard. hopefully itll be smoothed over by tomorrow

Why ruin the last jump !
It was a good jump to learn tricks on ! Now it's really small and not as fun.
Granted, Pick is the best it has ever been. Hitting all those jumps back to back is super sick....but the last one used to be so much better before yesterday !

wait what did they do to the last one??? if they didnt change the fourth as well the speed must be wayy to fast for a smaller 5th jump.and word heff! kings has been a let down we need some big n safe step overs. hell 7 springs pa has a 65 ft stepover thats said to be money as fuck, i want that out here, but the two more in a row larger!

the last jump looks money right now butttt there's a gnar kink in the tranny that fucks your shit up...i'm assuming it will be fixed tomorrow...the jump shape is dope right now they just need to push it longer now..it's still short

The tranny sucks and they made it like 10 feet smaller.
I forgot yesterday by my 3rd run, took the same speed as i used to, and took the landing to the flat- to my face.
Which 3 days ago, would have been taking it super super deep...to my feet.
They need to fix the tranny and make it like 10-15 feet bigger

WORD. Like that one massive step over that was in upper joneseys two or three seasons ago. That thing was the funnest jump I've ever hit.

i don't think they're blowing it they just need to tweak things a little bit better...I like keystones system where they make park crew test there shit before it opens to the public...does pc do this?...if they did there would be no chance of that last jump in pic being the way it was yesterday

last jump in pick is bad news. hot lapping for 5 hours on wednesday know the speed perfect, come back like 10 hours later and hit the last one with the same speed and landed completely flat ending my ski day. word.

from there facebook pagePark City Parks and Pipes I will pass on the message for sure. Sad thing is that usually when we make a jump smaller it is because there isn't enough snow in that particular area to maintain it at that size. I'm not sure why we scaled down the last hit, but we will do our best to fix it! In the mean time pass on the word to speed check!

They should extend the jib line up on eaglet to include a ton of their rails (they have so many just chilling in the boneyard). They could set up a jib line ALL the way down king kon ridge (starting at

the top of Crescent). That way when you get to the bottom of the jib

line (which might be the longest jib line in the world), you would have

the option of either hopping on Eaglet (for a quick lap through the

bottom 1/3 of the jib line), skiing down gotcha cutoff and connecting

to Pick n Shovel, or skiing down gotcha cutoff and getting back on

crescent for another really fun, really long line of jibs again!

it would be way sicker if they just put mad rails in pick next to the last two jumps...all the way down past the wallride. so much empty space there.

plus those flat boxes need to be out of pick.

those are my only complaints.

oh and the new up box in kings is so damn fun!

the up box in kings is pretty dope, the gap and tranny are perfect. In the future if you have the opportunity to make something similar but with a longer rail (preferably lift tower rail like the first half of the second kings feature) that would be dooooope. Nice to see something pointing up for once though good progress.

ok so i've been stoked as hell on everything the park crew has been doing, but today was pretty ridiculous.

the first two flat boxes in pick need to get the fuck out of there. most boring things ever. at least have two lines so you can hit some interesting jibs.

and that up box? really? stupidest thing i've ever seen and hit.

pretty stoked on the down flat down, but the set up is really awkward for some reason. can't really put my finger on it.

also there's so much unused space (and unused jibs) that could make pick way sicker...and far less BORING.

now kings

those picnic tables are perhaps the WORST thing ever to happen to pc. worst features ever. period. actually the hitching post might beat them out. useless. no one hits it. waste of space.

first jump is really nicely built, just kinda hard to get speed for...and then you have to check a considerable amount of speed for the step over...make it bigger? in fact make all the jumps in kings bigger...it's supposed to be the BIG PARK. and the landings pretty much blow all around.

new up box is super sick though!

and lastly, please just get rid of the last jump. thing is wayyyy too fucking sketch. i realize people hit it, but i really don't understand how they do. tear it down and use all that wasted snow to make the other 4 jumps really sick and big. then use that space for jibs or something.

seriously though the beginning of the season everything was exceeding my expectations. and now i find myself incredibly disappointed i see things changed.

now if there's logical reasons why all of this is happening that i don't know about, please inform me and make me look like an asshole.

step overs in kings FTWwhere is the a fram, the s rail? the gondola jib?
and im pretty sure there are more jibs chillin in the rail yard then there are actually set up on the whole mountainpick is pretty dope but i do agree the tob boxes are fucking usless and there is lots of space for more jibs.hell how about a good old fashion flat bar. there is only one of those on the whole hill and its it king kon and is like 8 feet long.i wanna see some of that homerun magic that made me super stoked to be out here in utah.

i agree with most of what jeff said, and i think his issues with the park are shared by most of the people that ride pc everyday .now, this should be taken as constructive criticism only, nothing else, it is not an attack upon the park crew whatsoever. We are all still going to ride pc, because the parks ARE good; they could just be improved. With some tweaking kings has potential to be the best park ever. That being said, the new first jump is a big step in the right direction. It is built really well and is tons of fun. Thanks for listening.

the first few boxes in pick are awful. the landings are so bombed out and the lips are terrible. i rode canyons this weekend and realized how bad pc really is right now. ill keep riding pc but the status of the parks and the lack of jibs/legit rails is really making me reconsider buying a pc pass next year and buying a canyons one instead.

i wish PC would step there game up. Its really sad when my home mountain in montana that has no money has three times as many jibs up than PC.

i agree with what is being said. It sucks because this is exactly what happened last year. PC started strong but then instead of improving things as the season goes it just stays the stagnate but with a few small changes every now and then. The jumps in PIck are perfect but everything else needs a major over hall.

I agree with this. I remember too many days in Late March/April when you can only ride Pick n Shovel until 10:30 in the morning, Kings Crown til 11:30, and then you HAVE to be up in Jonesy's becuase everything else is slushed out. We are not going to have a good spring park this year without Jonesys

aint you always telling me to shut up and that the parks a dope? hahasee even this kids getting a little distraught over the park situation

imitate summit county...wha-lah...dope ass park...It is now time for aspen open...a comp that you WILL need dubs to make finals...and there has yet to be a safe jump to learn them on...if these parks got treated as well as that pipe did...the place would be immaculate.....pardon my ignorance if I'm being absurd...But why on flat light days the pipe gets paint but the jumps don't? Flat light makes landings/take offs in park just as dark as they make the pipe.

And please please please...we need jonesys built and KINGS BIGGER!

this is all very true, you cant see the knuckles for SHIT when its grey bird... wich its been a good bit this year.also the jumps at key are so fucking prime and i dont want to here "well you should mover there" bullshit.there is no reason that park city cant crank out some big stepovers that are double worthy.. i have only seen dubs done in the pipe and i though i would be seeing them in the park but it seems even those that can do them arent even gunna bother risking it with kings being in its current condition.maybe once shaun white leaves for vancouver they will focus less on a perfect pipe and give the rest of us what we have been waiting for in kings...or jibs in the rest of the parks for that matter

alright coming from the east i was expecting big things, and i have gotten it. but i have been here for a month or so now and NOTHING has changed since i have been here. the jumps are mint, so much nicer than the east so i cant complain there, but I come from the ice coast. the land of rails. honestly 2 flat boxes and 3 down rails and some of the worst ideas i have ever seen (picnic tables and hitching post). Honestly park guys i dont know what you get paid for because you dont do jack shit. there are what seems to be a 100 rails just sitting up in that yard thing unused. like wtf. you get paid to set shit up, set it up for god sake. and PLEASE change the rails in fucking kings. and the step up step down is such a fucking waste. make a nice trickable jump there preeze. stepover is fun. last jump is retarded. dumbest thing i have ever seen. what honestly went though your mind when making that. get your shit in gear. please

You guys are complaining about one of the better parks in the country. It's by far the best park in Utah; pleaes don't tell me the Canyons compares. One fourty foot STEP DOWN (just like many of PC's jumps) and one high speed longer one don't compare to two well built parks and an imaculate pipe.

Maybe it isn't Keystone or Breckenridge, but who cares. It's hilarious to listen to many of you bitch about not being able to do doubles. How many of you would honestly do them? This is skiing, not aerials. Not every jump needs to be built a particular way that enables you to do specific tricks. I for one dislike the step over/up style jumps, it feels like you're three feet off the ground the whole time. If they aren't sufficient to do whatever double you want to do REI sells plenty of shovels and there are more than enough places around here to go build your own jump...

I can name 6 people off the top of my head that I ski with pretty much every week that have either landed or attempted a dub cork. From what I understand, most of them would liked to have had a jump to practice them on before they head off to events like the Aspen Open this weekend. I know there are a easy handful of people who would do them out here. All the people who want to practice are forced to drive 6-7 hours to breck and key just for these tricks.
