My brothers already had several rails, but they built a small one or so feet high one so that i could learn, and that they could learn more stuff on rails. It is a wood frame.. and PVC is the best slippy thing for rails. Just commit, turn the full 90 degrees, dont drag your back ski, keep your weight distributed equally to each leg... and about everything that the first poster said. (I dont feel like repeating him) I just learned too, so it can be done. Just have fun, and dont do anything stupid... because then you hurt yourself.
