I'm sorry but it appears you are unaware that this is late night ns and any answer you get will most likely be a joke or complete shit. Thank you and good night/day

Seriously though... enough with these "Design me _______, and I'll give you some worthless bullshit" threads. Its called a pencil and paper you tool. Do it yourself.

My bad, forgot to say that i wasent looking for anyones opinion about this. Will be more specific in the future so many of you guys wont waste your precious time trying to be funny. If someone wants to help, hit me up on PM! and if not, i think you know what to do.

Sketching a logo, for 2 tall tees worth about 70 bucks, i understand if someone might think its ti much to ask for, fine with that. I am only asking if someone is interessted in this

$70???????????????????????????? $35 each? thats a rip off, jiberish shirts only cost like $30. these should be $10 $15 AT MAX!

Norweagin market is expensive, we dont ship international. shirts in the skate/ski shops cost 60 a piece. A sweater cost about 1000 kr wich is 166 bucks(some are even more expensive).

I could get like a Jiberish shirt, a TapouT shirt, and American Fighter shirt with the last one on sale for that much.

He speaks the truth.
I had 5 norwegian roommates at one point. They said things are 1/3 to 1/5th of the price here.
I took one of them shopping and she spent $1000 in quicksilver alone. They were buying stuff left and right cause a $20 tshirt here would have cost them the equivalent of $50 - $80 there.
They saw $100 burton cruisers on whiskeymilitia and bought 4.
$35 is CHEAP for what they are used to.

but still for a custom made tall tee is a rip off. i know im in canada and its cheaper than norway, but i can go to the fabric store and but like 2 square metres of fabric and make my own tall tee for under $10

yeah, but you wouldn't sell it for $10 would you?
the apparel department at my university sold their hoodies for $40 and the schools professionally made ones were around $50. It certainly did not cost $40 for them to make it, but why wouldn't you charge more for it?
if the cost of producing a shirt in the US is around $7 after fabric and thread and ribbing. And it is 1/4th the cost here as in norway. In norway it could cost up to $28 just for materials. Throwing another $7 on top of that is a very very small amount to pay considering you didnt have to spend time making it.
The conversion is really weird, he should have left it out. But depending on the current exchange, he is right.

Thank you Rachy!
Yeah the shirt itself is cheap, but shipping, printing, taxes, +++. We are selling them for a good price on the norweagin market. There is not a huge profit on it, we do it mostly for fun and to learn about business.

Yeah, made me curious to see how it had changed. And it really really has. It was 1/4 3 years ago and now its closer to 2/5... so yeah... that would make i around 16 to make the shirt, but thats with out printing and shipping/tax if that is included in the cost. Here it is around $3 to print a shirt in 1 color if you aren't doing that many... so depending printing can be pretty pricey. So maybe your making a tad more than $7... but when a low income is $21 an hour.... yeah.... your not making much.
Good work.

I made you this. i took alot of artistic freedom and added a smiley face cuz you guys seem like happy kids.

this would be sick if you have it uncentered and on the right side a little bit under the sleeve. if u know like these two i can make more. im bored as hell for the next few days

dude you know nothing about starting a business. you should start your prices around your target because otherwise people will bitch about your 'inflation'. on top of it, your price range is based on your target market, so sincerely go be wrong in the corner. 35$ is nothing for a tall tee, and considering that's a minimum in canada, and most of the rest of the world. just shh.

on top of it, no one ever considers the fact that in mark ups half the time, aside from profit, you have to spend part of that paying your employees, and eventually your store bills and etc.

while it costs 6$ to make a shirt from china, you need to order a minimum of 5000 units half the time, and so smaller bulk costs more to make, especially if it's made locally. and no you can't buy fabric at the shop and make a tall tee for 10$. i make my own clothes regularly, and jersey knit is usually 10$ a meter, which would be half of your shirt, and you didn't factor in labor.

stop being cheap. the industry is the industry, and if you don't like it then shop at walmart and have fun knowing some 16 year old kid in a factory made it for 1$ a day.

local clothing costs more to make because we have to pay our employees at least minimum wage, and you'll have to raise that cost and throw in benefits if you want an employee to stay long term.

common sense isn't expensive, try it sometime.

tapout fag. if it wernt for people like you i would like mma. but no, its been turned into a pro wrestling type thing because of the fans.

Online market is all that seems to matter with this kid, 35 dollars for a tall tee is outrageous.

Who is going to buy the $35 tee?

Answer: the Norwegians.

Where is he trying to desire a market?

Answer: www.newschoolers.com

Will kids on NS buy his 35 tee?

Answer: No.

Why?

Answer: Because the internet market is different than any counties market (even your beloved canada)

Point validated.

you can't really sell them on ns because the majority of the clients who might buy it at 15 years old, and don't have a stable income. but it doesn't mean you can't find people who might be interested because not everyone is cheap and running on daddy's wallet. some people here might actually want something unique or different, and are willing to pay for it.

that being said. all of the online canadian shops are more expensive than buying in store because i have to pay shipping unless it's over 100$. in canada it's generally 23$-29$ for shirts from american apparel, and then dc,element, hurley, split, blah blah, whatever because they're mass produced, probably in sweatshops and they sell to more people.(a lot of average joes too)

meanwhile, companies like nomis, nikita, nixon, wesc, vans, etc more reputable and niche oriented brands sell for a minimum or 35$ a shirt and up. which are likely also sweatshop mass produced, but generally offer more unique detailing than the other companies. these companies are willing to put a price on their garments and they make money just as easily because they are saying, we want you specifically to buy this, and not those other people. and the people willing to spend it and generally very happy.

where as shopping at places like karmaloop and dogfunk are better for americans because shit goes on sale ten times faster than in stores, and they offer you free shipping, and even for me, with shipping, generally i'll end up saving at least 20$ on the item's regular store price without taxes.

but really, can i ask you how much time you've spent in the fashion industry and marketing, and time online shopping in general to validate how much more you actually know about this than me?

you can argue all you want about how cheap americans are, but it still doesn't mean shit.

case in point, they're not selling to 15 year olds with no job. their market is probably someone in their 20's, with a job, who loves skiing or snowboarding and loves to rep companies that mean something to them.
