Pretty much my parents hate all marijuana use and they have now caught me like 3 times. They say i cannot go out during the week now because i always drive home a lil blazed. They say driving high is "very dangerous, just like alcohol, etc." So here is where NS comes in.

This thread is only for people who have driven blazed before, and I just need a one word answer, no argument or bullshit from you lil bitch 14 year olds.

So the question is: Have you ever gotten into a car accident while driving under the influence of marijuana?

I know of 2 people who have crashed their cars because they were high. One couldn't stop giggling/laughing about something stupid, the other was just too lethargic to brake.
 
Just read my instructions. Its not for my parents, its for me. I just wanna know the statistics for myself based on average teenagers/adults. And friends don't count, because you dont know all the details, you only know details about yourself. So yes or no PLEASE
 
your a fucking retard. driving high is just as bad as driving drunk, and the punishments are the same. in my past expierence, id say im more impaired under weed than alchy. your parents are right. if your that dumb, the last thing you should be doin is killin any more brain cells.
 
Actually, I was in the car during one of the accidents so I know exactly what went down. You just felt the need to say that because you don't want to hear that it actually does happen; you want to hear 'ohh no, driving high is perfectly safe.'
 
i, personally, am a much better driver when i'm high because i don't want to get pulled over. however, the first couple of times i drove high were SUPER scary. every now and then i still hallucinate deer and shit.
 
are you kidding i drive so much beter high than i do sober like when i had my permit i would always drive with my parents high like across town to pick up my sister and all her friends....hahahaha

i drive high constantly. no problems as a matter of fact i just got home from driving high. It depends how much u smoke... a noob smoker cant drive high, a veteran can.

if your having problems just pull over, make sure u have water and gum thats key for me... just be smart and pay attention to the road

cruise control is your best friend

and yes ive done many a ride check high so no worries on that just make sure u dont smell like bob marleys ass

 
are you going to share a reason you would like to know this information? if you want a clear cut, one word answer, you should specify accident better. you seem a bit immature to be smoking if you are whining about your parents 'getting on your case hardcore.'
 
Just cause i live with my parents doesn't mean i am immature. I am a senior, but my parents control what i can/can't do. I am just trying to get info for myself now so i can build up arguments as to why they should not send me to counceling for like once a day use of marijuana. (yeaa they are that crazy about it)
 
I have not(because i don't get high) but I know 3 people who have. Also I know a kid who was killed in a seperate case because someone smokin hit him head on.
 
Driving when you're impaired in any way is just stupid. Your parents are right in saying you shouldn't drive when you're high.

And if you're trying to convince them marijuana isn't bad, driving is definitely not the area you want to focus on.
 
well then in that case. my advice wouldn't be to tally up who has or hasn't been in a car accident while high. I would argue the truth. the reason you smoke.

that's the only legitimate argument against your parents you have. I am only assuming they are providing shelter/food/support since you are still in school. obviously they want what is best for you , and they are basing their fears on past experience/gov't propaganda/and unjust laws.

life is full of choices. why do you choose to smoke? that answer alone should justify to your parents, if you are smoking for a reason. If you want to drive high and not have your parents get on your case, pay your own insurance, agree to not accept any financial or legal help if you are ever arrested/crashed from driving high.

you really gotta ask yourself why do you smoke? Life is full of choices you are always going to be able to smoke as long as you can get it.

YES, weed impairs your ability to drive as much as alcohol, so NO you shouldn't drive high, YES you sould follow your parents' advice, NO you should not turn to an online community for answers, YES you should ask a more reliable source if you really want to know, but NO, they would not have first-hand experience.

Fuck your yes or no thing. I know some people who are terrible drivers high, and some who are amazing. One time I shared six bowls with one other person and she never had a problem all night, and there have been plenty of other times where I've driven with people high and there have been no problems, either... I think depending on the person it can be more or less dangerous than alcohol.

i have never gotten into car accident ever, high or sober.

I say yes. One of my friends rolled his truck cause he was giggling/spacing out, and the passenger broke his right side and his neck.

My friend got endangerment of a child cause the passenger was 16 and he was 18. The parents said they wouldnt have pressed the charges if he was sober.

everyone has different situations, but dont be retarded. Whenever my girlfriend goes out with her friends i worry. Some people will always say "i would never drive messed up" but sometimes those are the ones yelling lets go to denny's.

Its different everywhere, different people, different surroundings, different consequences. I say dont do it. How are you gonna ski if you get hurt/grounded
 
^ but keep in mind im talking minor accidents like, reversing so ur rear vision mirror is taken out by a brick wall. an reversing too far, stuff like that nothing overly serious

Don't drive drunk or high. I've done the first and won't do it again.

Driving a little buzzed is fine. Driving a little high is also fine. But the emphasis is on "a little". For instance, the dumb cunt on her cell phone that forced me onto the shoulder the other day because she couldn't be bothered to check her mirrors was probably the equivalent of me after about 10 beers, and there's no law against cell phones. Use your best judgment. Don't put people in danger.

YES. and its fucking dumb. dont ever do it. you could ruin someone elses life by doing it. if u kill anyone while driving under any type of influence think of the guilt that will be upon u for the rest of ur life. taking away someones life over something like that can be the most selfish thing on earth to do.

im constantly stoned so, so yes i have crashed stoned, but thats only becuase im always in my car and im always stoned, it was inevitable. Not becuase i was high.
 
No, but i rear ended someone while i was packing a pipe so that was caused by weed but not being high. I have totalled two cars and neither times was i high. I have also driven thousands of miles high without incident, but i was smoking before i was driving so i was accustomed to the feeling. I had a family member hit and killed by someone who was drowsy, so really lots of things make driving dangerous. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, heres the real kicker, it is always dangerous because even if you feel fine and you hit and injure someone, if they find illegal stuff in your car U R funcked. I always worry about getting hurt at work cause its pretty much always in my system, and i won't be covered if they test.
 
driving blazed is incredibly sketchy dude. not so much 3 hours later but ill still have a hard time concentrating on the road. i havent gotten into an accident YET (knock on wood) but i know my chances are astronomically higher if im blazed. im against driving blazed and will avoid it as much as possible.
