Moment Skis 2010/2011

Annyone know the diffrences between last years Night train and the 2011 night train?

Maybe some on snow experience?
 
No, not all are rockered.Reno jibs, rubys, eldorados,sierras, stilleto and tahoes to name a few which are not.

Night train is pretty similar to last years. Will be lighter due to the added carbon. Also has a slightly different rocker profile.
 
Is the change to carbon stingers a reall big plus over last years...or should i go for last years with a nice price? thanks.
 
some top sheet materials have been changed so that the skis are a lot lighter, no more basalt, all carbon fiber, supposedly a pound lighter
 
yea wtf is that about? all the other company's are there. Moment makes good skis but they need to work on a few things.

1) their website

2) customer service: I warrantied my rockers this spring and was told that I would be receiving a NEW pair of the 10/11 ones within a month. 6 months later I still havent seen anything. Not only that but they dont even attempt to communicate with me to tell me whats taking so long, and dont even respond to emails. Cmon guys, its not that hard to let somebody know whats going on with their shit. I kbnow your busy but that is part of running a business, plain and simple. I literally had to call the factory every day for liek 2 weeks and finally got someone to answer the phone, only to tell me that it'll be "a couple more weeks"... what is that supposed to mean? next year? tomorrow? who knows with them. If you dont know how long its going to take dont give out dates to people and get their hopes up. I would have rather you told me that the skis wouldnt be ready until august or September than tell me that they would get a pair right out to me and then drop off the face of the earth. Just bad business practices. I'm ranting now but hey, I guess this is the place to do it.

3) hopefully their topsheets wont be made out of soggy toilet paper this year too, that would be nice.

 
really not feeling any of the graphics...last years were sooooo much better. Especially the ruby, and night train...
 
yeah, I hate how I get an email within an half hour of contacting them, and saying nice things to them about how awesome their skis are. I also hate how they warrantee almost anything and let you have a free pair of next years gear WHEN IT IS READY!

I hope they pee on your skis.
 
you get an email within half hour of contacting them? I send them an email and never even get a response at all... weird. Communication is key in busniss and they are doing a poor job at it. All I'm saying. I dont care that it taking them a long time to get me the skis, I would just like some communication. Your argument sucks. Its not like Im getting a FREE pair of ski's. I BOUGHT a pair of skis from them and they broke. The topsheet literally peeled off, I should get another pair because the ones I had fell apart, not my fault. I paid for a pair of skis that I hoped would last and I got less than 10 days on them. They are being legit and getting me some, yes but its not like I'm bitching because they didnt get me another pair of skis within the hour, their communication just sucks.

All I was trying to do was give some legitimate advice on how they might run their business a little better, but since you are obviously a little moment fanboy who cant deal with anyone criticizing your beloved brand you decide to twist my word into something I didnt even really say and try and make ME look like an idiot.

It's plain and simple. If you say something is going to be done in a month, get it done in a month. If you dont know how long its going to take, thats ok too, but DON'T make unrealistic promises, that only creates bad blood.

Oh and moment, respond to your damn emails, cmon. I tell them I changed my address and I get no response, I feel like I'm just getting the runaround. How do I know that you didnt already ship the skis to my old address and not even contact me, I wouldn't be surprised. Just a quick note saying that you receive my email and that you will change it would be great.
 
haha fanboy. I like it.

I have never had a problem, they always come through for me and most of the people I know who have had one or more of their many issues. It is possible that they are concerned with running a business and will get to you in the order you were received.

Have patience. I guess.
 
I honestly have no idea what they were thinking when they decided to change up the ski, and ended up making it SHORTER?
