ALRIGHT HENDRIAB. who the fuck are you. I ski at alpine every day and i must know who you are. i have an idea, but what you are saying right now makes me rethink it. i agree with the fact that if you took any talented midwest skiier and sent them to breck or PC, they would slay harder than a local that gets to ski there every day. Midwest skiiers are the fuckin shit
 
You were acting like no one from the midwest was a pro. Funny that laker got really good skiing PNS, sure he took trips but usually people get good when they move. I wasnt trying to prove you wrong, i was just trying to say that yeah mid west kids kill it and people know that, so why did you make a thread? i mean, technically they turn into "out west" skiers when they move...
 
Add another 50 miles to your radius and you can add Tom Wallisch. He got his ass out West in a hurry too. Like sooo many of the good Midwest skiers. The only good skiers who stay in the Midwest, probably received some scholarship money to go to college in the East, knocked some girl up or were forced to work on there parents farm in exchange for college money!!
 
When I look at a map I see that iowa is where your mom is usually also your sister and "skiing" is the word they use for getting fucked in the ass by a horse.
 
to be honest im from the mid west and just got back from a trip to beck franky I was really pissed to find out there park closed at 330. I paid 80 bucks a day to ride for 6 hours fuckin shit
 
This thread is silly.

There are good skiers from everywhere. Depends on what your focus is, and how much you focus on it.

As far as park goes, I think if you were in front of an 80 foot jump, you'd probably be a little freaked out regardless of where it was. Yeah the west has perfectly made parks most of the time. If you seriously think you'd be doing quads off the jumps, then why the fuck haven't you moved? You could be winning x games and making 100k a year in comp winnings.

Wrong. All east. Rails- Martini, Strenio, Riley Jumps-Wallisch, Gagnier Style-Casabon, Vila Pipe-Dumont, Marion Pow- Rainville, Hawk(R.I.P.) and sketchy and being a thug are not categories of skiing.
 
Don't mind him. He's just butthurt that west coast resorts are still operating at full steam and he's sitting at home jerking it when its 70 and sunny outside in his midwest town.

Even though you're out west, you're probably still sitting at home jerking it outside in your western town. Considering the time you spend on here..

As you probably should know, the east also had a shitty season
 
I ski Illinois and when I was out at breck last week it seemed like everything I did, I landed first try. Even stuff i'd never tried before. The conditions of the park definitely had something to do with it.

They were an entertaining read, and didn't go unappreciated. The "Harder and more slippery than my teflon coated fry pan" part, was my personal favorite.

seriously i dont get it why go in a park when there is pow/bumbs/trees/corn and all around good shit
 
because some people like to ski park more then bumps. If there is new snow ill be in the trees and in the deep stuff but if not ill be in the park.
 
This. I'm rarely in the park even if it is a warm bluebird day. to me that just means cliffs into corn and spring slush.
 
While those 2 are both very good, they're probably anomalies. They are both naturally talented, and looking at all the current skiers in our parks, no one on their level is going to be coming out of their any time soon unless I'm completely overlooking them.

Props to Laker though for learning pretty much all his doubles on 40 foot booters. Kid is insane.
 
sorry us outwest skiers don't slay rails super hard, its just difficult to find them through the endless face shots
