Mecca considers banning Women

You know how many people actually die at the Hajj, its crazy. You work up to your whole life to this event and you get killed.
 
I dont see why not, it would just mean that women couldnt complete one of the pilars of islam which is to make a pilgramage to mecca.
 
Which is one of the greatest joys/accomplishments one Islamist can make. Misinterpretations are going to destroy Islam as we know it.

Such it is, Muslims in general from what I have observed, are among the most hypocritical group of people on the planet.

Those fools are still stuck in the Middle Ages, Islam keeps them there. They have not progressed at all since the crusades. Islam has become a brainwashing doctrine of hate and oppression.

People will die no matter what when they chant allah akhbar allah akhbar and go into these cult type dances around that fucking meteorite (which really has no connection to Islam but was worshipped earlier as a symbol of the pagan gods of the desert. Islam adopted it to gain followers).

Maybe the women wouldn't die if they weren't tripping over those fucking sheets with eye holes they're forced to wear.

Religion always had the goal of banning women from society, Christiannity too. Its the idiots that follow the extremist make the situation worse.

 
I completly agree, if liberals in america think that the christian right is hardcore, and hates black and women, they're nothing compared to islam which is an opresive religion that believes in the murder of everyone who isnt part of it. I dont think america needs to only be conserned with radical islam, we need to be concerened about all islam, becuase its a religion that is the opposite to freedom and the american way.
 
i disagree. The Muslim religion would be perfectly fine, except that it has a bunch of really corrupt leaders. Most religions have some corruption near the top, but historically Islam seems to be winning in the department of corrupt leadership. The vast majority of Muslims are nothing to be concerned about.

As for the Mecca thing, it just seems strange and kind of sad for Islam to stop half of its religious population from achieving their most cherished goal. But it doesn't really surprise me.
 
Thats the thing though, its not corrupt leaders, Palestines government was ruled by curroption until earlier this year when the palestinians elected the uncorrupt Hammas (they campagined on the fact that they would end corruption and build schools, hospitals, roads ect....). Hammas is hardly a group that is supportive of America. Moss Islamic goverments arent that radical, like the interm government in Iraq, its a democracy, but at the same time scores of inocent people die each day becuase the Sunnis hate the Shittes and the vica versa. The whole situation there right now is rediculous, and its not "corrupt" leaders that is causing it. It's the violent and regressive religion of islam.
 
dude, i just got back from the middle east, and trust me, they have problems. average joes are highly racist, and fucking pricks. they harass you to no end. twice i saw women and black women wait for a taxi while at least 30 drivers drove past before one who wasnt dressed up in robes would stop to pick them up. they broadcast their fucking prayers loudly into the streets five times a day no matter where you are. its a fucking annoying religion. its worse than jehovahs witnesses. and before anyone accuses me of being a complete racist, this is not stereotyping because it is applicable to everyone i saw.
 
the same as all religions... so the people in charge can have power over a bunch of people. I say let them do what they want as a religion...

just remember that if women cant go to mecca then there will be no women in heaven therefore eliminating the story of the 72 virgins waiting for someone who is a martyr... unless its virgin men, and thats cool if your into that. but i think it would help get rid of alot of the extremists who think they are martyrs and are gonna get a bunch of virgins up there.
 
Most philosophers believe that what is understood in literature is understood as it should be. but what is not entirely understood and obvious to a reader is actually interpreted.

but then other philosophers believe that everything we read is interpreted and that interpretation is inevitable.
 
i like to stay away from religions that are open to interpretation.. thats why i am going to become a scientologist where you just pay a bunch of money and they tell you exactly whats up. the more you pay.. the more truth you learn... pretty neat system eh.

You have no idea about islam. Basically the Qu'ran cannot be translated into english because of the lack of eglish words to express it. Also it is not compulsory for women to wear full body dress they just feel they do not need to show off, their beauty is for their husband, themselves and allah. Intelligence over vanity.

Islamists are vastly more developed and advanced than the west. Algebra, world maps, columbus' navigator was a muslim boy because the maps could only be read in Arabic. The Qu'ran pretty much proves everthing science has but 1400 years ago. I think it's we in the west who are stuck in the dark ages/prison.

plus I'm an atheist so apparently I'm worse than a christian or a jew, but i have no bias.
 
...have you ever been to the west? this may have been true 2500 years ago, but not today bro.
