i dont know about the rest of you, but i for one take allot of stock in a leader that can do just that, LEAD.
now we should make a comparison on LEADERS.
disclaimer, i am going to be decidedly pro McCain, Palin. in this post.....
MCCain, led in NAM... he has also LED, in many different forms of legislation, going against BOTH parties.
Palin led, at both the local level, city console, mayor, Governor.
for those of you who dont know as much about local politics, go attend a City console meeting, go and meet your Mayor...
I am on a first name basis with my Mayor, and even though i come from Small Town America, He is a remarkable leader.... right now he is in the process of fighting Hennepin county(drew knows what i am talking about when i say "Fighting hennepin county" it is no small task) the county is trying to rip up our main road through our town, and take out street parking, and possibly destroying buiseness's.
you can also tell allot about a person by the decision they have made in their past, and i for one trust McCain's decision making many times over Obama's.....
now lets move onto Palin, she took on the establishment, she beat the republican govenor in a primary, and eventualy won the govenorship. she took on both sides of the isle, she was / is a mavrick, much like Mccain. she is not afraid to take on the establishment, and fights for what SHE believes in.
(o BTW, i know a state senator, and i would count my Mayor, to be just as good a leader)
now i want someone to make the case for the community organizer, turned state ^ senator, turned senator, who now has roughly 150 working days in the senate.... is chairman of a comity that has never met, votes "present" on bills of legislation. (is that a fear to lead? i want a leader, not someone who votes "present" ) how long has Barack been running for president based on what idea? change, change. it has a ring to it, but unfortunetly change is rather vauge, and when ever Barack gets nailed down on an issue, and doesnt resort to "change" i find myself coming down in stark disagreement....
(o BTW, i know a state senator, and i would count my Mayor, to be just as good a leader)
wow, i got started, and i just couldnt stop....
if anyone acctually reads this whole thing, let me know what you think, even if its "i hate you" atleast i know you read this far.. ha
