most MA highways 65-70 is reasonable. But on the pike, if you are anywhere but the far right lane, 65 is dangerous. The pike doesn't represent MA drivers as a whole, because from what I've learned, generally it isn't speed, but more or less just the aggressive manner in which we drive. In boston cars aren't going 80mph, but will seem a bit crazier.
and saying others shouldn't have to adapt is impossible. Each time someone not from the area is around, every MA driver should completely change how they drive? Its not a difficult manner to drive in, just don't be stupid and go with the flow. If you can't adjust your driving manner slightly, you shouldn't be driving anywhere but your own area.
