Marker Griffons?

Im a 15 year old kid who is about 142 lbs. and 5'5 and into there second year of Park, but I have been skiing for about 11 years. At the moment, I have the 2013 Marker squire's, but I don't like them in the park. Im thinking about buying Marker Griffons off of eBay. How would this effect my park skiing AND my overall mountain skiing?

@ 142lb unless you're racing on them or hitting huge stuff squire should be enough. They go to DIN11 and I believe you don't need anything more than 7.5-8

while the squires should be enough, i understand your frustration with them. the toe piece is quite cheap and the heel is sub par. Id definitely look into the griffon as your next binding. the heel design alone is worth it. it will add some weight to your skis, but its negligible.

You don't like them in park? In what way... They obviously aren't broken, and they are more or less ok for you're size. If you are popping out of them too easy, bump up the din/check your forward pressure settings. Maybe after that you could consider new bindings. Otherwise I see no point unless they break. New bindings aren't going to make you a better skier.

That doesn't mean I think they are good bindings, they aren't very durable. Griffons are great however (IMHO). I'm pretty sure they are the best selling binding in America. I myself have skied both griffons and jester for a while with no issues, and I weigh 185, and ski hard. They're plastic (whatever), and even though everyone on here seems to hate them, I just haven't seen many actually break considering the huge number they have out there.

I have the griffons on my 177 YLE and I sometimes head into the park and they work fine, they are a little hard to click into but other than that they work fine! If you can get them for a good price go for it

I have Griffon's on my 185 Chronics, and had them on 177 Afterbangs before that and I used these for urban quite a bit. I haven't had a single problem, and they've switched skis 3 different times. I took a whaleback huge this past weekend, landed about 25 feet down the hill, washed out, and landed super back seat. Bindings were great.

I just started getting into park skiing this year and have skied for several years. I was doing some simple spins off of a couple jumps and everything was going fine. Then I landed switch one time and the brake grabbed on the snow and ripped off. Apparently the brakes breaking on these is very common and only costs like 25 dollars to fix. You can replace them yourself, as you only need to remove two screws and position it right. Other than that they have been great bindings.
