Bad bad bad bad bad. BAD
Turning up the DIN on your bindings shouldn't need to be done. Proper binding design SHOULD eliminate this problem. If you're running a binding, like the Marker, that REQUIRES you to turn your DIN up from the recommended DIN, so that it holds you in properly, you're running the wrong binding for you.
Marker bindings are absolute crap for any kind of skiing that isn't recreational or racing. You can get away with a 20+ DIN in racing, but it shouldn't be an option in freeskiing, where there are situations in which your skis coming is CRITICAL to the survival of both your knees, and yourself.
On top of that, Marker+Freeskiing=major binding retention issues. And don't start with "it's the person mounting them". Bullshit. I've seen more pairs of pulled Markers than any other bindings. All sorts of different skis, mounted by all sorts of great techs, including the fine folks at Vancouver Ski and Board Services, who deal with binding warranties for Salomon and others. The scariest thing was seeing Markers pulling out of Volkl Gotamas, as they're both owned by the same parent company and supposedly designed to "work together". I've seen Markers come out of Karmas, Gotamas, skis made by Salomon, 4frnt, you name it, Markers have pulled out of it.
Lastly, Marker has the highest return rate in the industry. Yes, higher than Line's. Most binding companies are at between 1-2% return rate, with Tyrolia and Marker being much higher (the numbers escape me). That, right there, should tell you all you need to know.
