Yeah, I never have the problem of too sharp on my Blackmagic... that lens has a great look. I just wish it had a long focus throw like the rest of the ZFs. That alone has got me drooling over the 35 1.4. Gonna be a long time before I can justify that though.
 
Just picked up a Nikon FE2 and old Vivitar 28mm f2 lens (to start messing around with). Eventually I'll pick up more as I find deals and figure out what I actually want. Definitely excited to start playing with film!

Shooting a wedding tomorrow and meeting with another cinematographer the day after to discuss the destination wedding that we're shooting in the dominican republic in march.
 
Got an email from USC's School of Cinematic Arts asking for a pone interview this weekend, feeling like that's a pretty good sign!

Ya thats a good choice

Don't go for a t2i tho because it doesn't have a Mic jack and if you ever want to get a better microphone you need to have a jack for it.

T2i's do have a mic jack..
 
Filming an edit with my friend and mines new setups and I'm super stoked!

Gh4 as A cam, G7 as B cam.

70-200 f/4 non is, 17-40 f/4.

HD-4000, sachtler ace-m (might try and use a ronin-m on the hill)

Never used the 17-40 for follow-camming on rails, hopefully it turns out fine!

17-40 will be fine, I shot loads of shots followcamming on rails with a 17.5/25mm (more 25 than anything) on the gh4 and it came out pretty decent

Just got hired as 1st AC on a Lance Drake video that's shooting next week. And got hired as 2nd AC on a feature film shooting next month ON FILM.

After a long winter with barely any work and being broke as fuck, my freelancer depression is finally lifting...
 
Bump because I have been missing this thread. Also bump because recently my home mountain hired me to a couple of promotional projects with all the freedom in the world in terms of concept and basically letting me film whatever I want. Also been putting together a little film with the my free ride teammates here at UNR that Im super stoked to show you guys in the next couple of months. Stoked!
 
I've got a shit ton of content coming out with client work, passion projects and big films. Unfortunately not a lot of skiing edits but next season that will change! Business is really starting to take off with about 1 client project per week right now!
 
Stoked on producing two hype edits for Sun Valley company. One of mostly halfpipe and one of mostly slopestyle. They posted the halfpipe one 11/12 posts back here.

Didn't get credit cause I was working under the main cinematographer, but not super disappointed because this is super sick in my books. Been wanting to work with Sun Valley since I started doing photo/video work.

Also (please) check my thread on a photo group. Pretty recent thread here on M&A.
