M&A stoke

Finally a good lens for the EOS M:

Just got an f stop tilopa bc with medium slope ICU + either XL or L icu as well, all for $150 in perfect condition, such a steal.

Tell me about it, had thought about buying one sometime in the future cause having to choose between either my camera gear, and having to wear every piece of ski equipment I own on public transport, or going without the cam was getting pretty fucking annoying.

So pumped on getting it cheap as well, always looking to save money haha, and I wasn't expecting the L/XL icu until it came today. Might end up selling the L/XL ICU, as I might find I don't need more than a med slope. Rear entry is pretty sweet and the fact that it fits on airplanes as carry on is just the icing on the cake.

how'd you score the deal/where was it from? I'd consider buying that ICU off of you if you do sell

Just a scottish photographer upgrading to the one up, presumably for overnights, shoots skiing too so that's how I know him.

I'll let you know, but shipping alone would be at least 15$, unless you wanna wait 60 days, in which case you'd get it for 10$ haha, not a huge saving.

Yeah, at the lab I looked at them on the light table and was blown away. On a computer screen...slightly less.

On a side note, is it just me or are positive strips stiffer than negatives?

We're getting about an hour of darkness here haha, the one time the aurora was high enough to see(7.6 a week or so ago) it was already bright again.

So a couple months after pulling the Leica out of my grandparents basement we found the Exa buried down there too. My great grandpa used it in his dentistry practice half a century ago. Fixed and cleaned up the lens and it works great! Loaded up both this morning and went out for a drive to get some very foggy landscape pictures, stoked to see the results!

Stoked to but together a full year urban movie for the first time.

Warning: This video contains only snowboarding, so don't watch it if you don't like snowboarding.

My mamiya 7 fell out of my backpack and out of a car yesterday when I was opening the side door, landed square on the lens. Shattered UV filter and a scuffed up lens hood, but everything else is perfectly fine.

THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD ALL USE UV FILTERS AND LENS HOODS

stoked on my first panorama. 20+ photos. i'm really pumped to try some more of these for some prints at my house.

this one covers from downtown anchorage to mount susitna. the mountains you see way out there are the tordrillos, where MSP filmed a segment last year.

Dangit, I was having issues with that because susitna (on the right) is about 300 miles closer than the mountains in the center, which is what I tried to level. There is distortion to the stitch, which is why the horizon on the left hand side of the image slants slightly upward from left to right

I know this isn't the right place for this discussion, but I don't think it's possible to see much over about 120 miles (mainly because of dust / vapour, and also because of the earth's curvature). Are you sure you got the distances right?

Haha serious iPhone typo, 30 miles not 300. But the 120 rule can't be true, we see McKinley constantly from Anchorage pretty clearly and it's well over 120 miles as the crow flies if I'm not mistaken.

I did the stitch in photoshop Gavin

Usually Photoshop does a solid job, but check out programs like Hugin or PTGui Pro. They're more powerful panorama programs and you have a lot of control over how you want it to look. I use PTGui and it's awesome.

Calling Denali it by its usurper name is punishable by 20 scuffs of the Xtratuffs and a fine of three smoked Red filets.

Can't believe this, but just won a Hassy C 50mm f4 on ebay for 120. I was sure that somebody would have a higher bid, but I won for 120$ on a max bid of 180...

Fucking righteous!
