M&A stoke

Just had an amazing time in annecy, heading to Switzerland for a day, then I'm off to Rome for three, then Malta! So stoked

Annecy is such a nice town! I was there last year and there was this CRAZY storm tempesting that part of France. I've rarely - if ever - witnessed such torment. It was black as the night...

Have fun in Rome; GREAT city. We went there with my whole year when I was a junior in High School. 250 kids, 2 weeks of fun and partying. Such a good time! If you got the option, try going to Florence as well. Beautiful city

Just got my GH2 in the mail with the 14 42 lens...charging the battery as I type! This thing was only $500 on amazon and BRAND NEW! Beyond stoked right now!

Got something in the mail

Stoked on purchasing my first dslr a month or two ago and now ive recently purchsed an 11-16 from coachG! Cant wait to film my buddies!

Developing a very old right now, don't remember all of what's on it since I finished it away at school and never got to process it. Pretty sure it has some surfing then some hiking stuff. And I forgot if it was 100 or 400 speed, I assumed 100 cause when I initially loaded it to go to the beach I'd imagine I picked 100 over 400.

I don't care for the 35mm format to spend any more than the bare minimum on it. If I wanted a rangefinder I'd get a Mamiya 7.

I'm about to ditch 35mm. It's hard to get great scans, I don't print it anymore. I'll keep doing 120, but I kinda want one of those olympus pen cameras. I shoot mostly with my old canon s70 point and shoot now. I'm probably just gonna grab an s100, cause it looks awesome. The mirrorless things look cool, but the s100 fits in my pocket.

ill take that 50 grand and buy a freezer and fill it with film and paper and make art for 20 years while you replace your camera after three years cause there's some "better" camera on the market

Home on break and finally picked up my last Canon prime to round off my set of lenses.

Tokina 17mm

Canon 35mm

Canon 55mm

Canon 85mm

Canon 135mm

Really happy with the setup, although the 135 is not very sharp at long focal lengths. With the 2x crop i very rarely use the 135 anyways

Next is a new tripod, that's a long ways down the road though

Found a little info...

BH has some discounts going on right now. Go to the homepage and click on Black Friday sales. Good deals on memory cards, lenses, etc.

yep, exactly what i was thinking. gotta use my lenses a bit more to see if i actually need it but i will most likely be picking one up

yep! one 20 dollar adapter for the Tokina and another 20 dollar adapter for all the canon lenses. Super sharp lenses and the weight of the old metal lenses is really nice with the super light gh2

Plus they're so curly you could us them for a pipe contest.

lets start a list of curly film so that people know not to ever buy it.

I'll start:

Ilford HP5- I've developed a deep hatred for this film solely because of his unmanageable curliness..

I've had like every film ever get curly and be totally flat, it's seemingly random for me. There's gotta be a way to dry them and get them totally flat without making marks and whatever. This time they're concave like a skateboard, but other times they'll want to curl up into a circle. I've got them under text books for now.

field prod is the most under rated film company on here IMO. I fucking love their movies. They always have great soundtracks, great skiers, and the movie always tells a story. Not to mention, they film with REDs, which is always good to see from a filmakers point of view.

Black Friday came through, two 27" lg LED 1080p monitors for $199 each normally $350. Epic.

Why would I buyt 2260x1440 when my video max resolution is 1080p? Shut up photofag my two monitors cost the price of one of yours lol

Because I can have a full 1080p window of my footage and still fit a timeline and clip viewer in the same layout, making it easy to edit at full res ;)
