M&A stoke

oh damn, that's a great idea! I can do TLapses on this bad boy. Another use, score!

Why don't you just buy an old 30D for timelapses? Cheaper and more awesome.

I wanted to pick up a T2i as well, but they didn't have 'em in stock when the refurb -20% sale was going on (of course they didn't...). Would have paid less than 200€ for it, haha. But now that they're back to normal I might just hold out and get a GH2. I only have manual glass anyway.

with these "hyperlapses," the motion needs to be across the X/Y image plane and not on the z axis for it to stabilize well.

better to use a tripod where you have it at a relatively constant height and on a level ground. You could also use a slider and when you reach the end of each slide reposition the slider to start over again

nope used a tripod. but with uneven ground, 20 degree temps and an aching back it gets hard to keep the same pace and same ish x and y plane. i can't imagine it working well with a glidecam

I saw a 'hyperlapse' once and the guy did it with a glidecam. I think he just took a picture/second and slowly walked from one place to the other.

His clouds weren't moving though.

REALLY FUCKING STOKED MY PIC MADE IT TO THE FRONT PAAAAAGE

Very first time shooting skiing/urban/action with strobes and it was a great succes I dare say!

Super inspired and motivated to get out there again!

nice man!

that's such an awesome shot. i love how he's only wearing really dark colours, really adds to it

leica update: everyone should buy one, swapping my red dot for a black one (stealth mode!), MP viewfinder upgrade (brighter, no flare, better low light focusing), and tossing an MP film advance on (same style as m3/2). Been taking it with me everywhere, it is a dream to use, so elegant.

Also: Stoked I scored a 70-200 4L IS sub $800 today in minty condition. The 2.8 IS II was in my budget, but factoring in some other gear I'm going to need in the next few weeks, It was great to save 1k. Will probably snag a 135L for fast tele stuff :D

Dude! That's a GREAT deal. I see them go for 1000+ all the time. If I'd ever get a telephoto zoom, that'd be the one

Sweeeeet! Spotmatics are such awesome camera's. Love them. They're definitely my favorite screw mount camera's. The film advance lever is so slick.

ya, it just feels so nice, everything about it is solid and it has a really mechanical feel. Definitely a change from the gh2

Going to be using AA's in the battery grip this winter because I lost my charger. I hope they last a long time.

A new charger should run you like 20$ max.

NiMH batteries suck in the cold and alkaline batteries are expensive. Just buy a new charger. MUCH cheaper, better for the environment, easier to use and an option that will last you a long time...

Well went to the local rail jam to just fuck around with my strobes, got a ton of sick shots, and the VP of the store it was at (who i had no idea was standing behind me) offered me at least 100 in store credit for some of them for the website

Fuck yeah!

^dope

stoked on finally finishing up getting footage for a 50th anniversary video I've been working on. Also stoked on being really busy right now

Really stoked that I am picking up a used Tokina 11-16mm tomorrow! Now my current Sigma 8-16mm just need to sell fast so that I wont loose any money before skiing season starts! (I will not ship the 8-16mm to other countries than Norway)

Ahhhh ok I guess I'll just order another one.

Kind of disappointing to learn that AA's suck in the winter, my aunt got 50 of them at costco so I was kind of stoked to never have to charge anything ever again

Got an opportunity to experiment with some 3d stuff.

Stacking $$$$'s these days, 2 jobs. Hopefully an f-stop pack and possibly a medium format camera before I head out west.
