Line chronic vs faction prodigy 1.0

Two questions

1. What changes has the line chronic got over the years. Is the line chronic 16/17/18/19 the same as 2020, apart from graphics?

2. If you only could choose one ski for carving/all mountain/park skiing, which one of line chronic or faction prodigy 1.0?

Thanks

The Chronic was changed last year. The 18/19 and 19/20 skis are the same. The older version was 90mm underfoot, mostly camber and a traditional shape. The new one has been fattened up to 95, with more rocker and a decent amount of taper. Read the Newschoolers Roofbox review, but Twig says its more of an all-mountain ski now, compared to the old one which was dedicated to park riding.

The Prodigy 1.0 is stiffer than the Chronic, which makes it a lot more capable all over the mountain. It's not super stiff, it's still fun but the Chronic is real soft now (not quite Blend soft though). What size are you looking at and what is your heigh/weight/age/preferred skiing location?

I am 15 years old 174cm(5'8") 60kg(132lbs). I am Intermediate-advanced skier. I ski mostly groomers, park and offpist. Not alot of powder.

Prodigy will be good, given that you’re not too tall or heavy it’ll be perfect

I know that the faction prodigy 1.0 is very poppy and great in the park. But how does it preform in terms of carving, in the roofbox review he said that the skis wasn't that great.

The ski is good on piste, if you mount it at center it won’t be as good at carving. At -2 or -3 it will carve real well and you’ll still be close enough to center to ski park without being throw off

Is -3 font of the ski or back?

Should I get the 164cm or the 171cm? What turning radius does the 164cm, 171cm got.

What is the difference between the faction prodigy 1.0 and the faction candide 1.0?

Go 170. It has a 14m radius and will give a more stability than the 164. -3 refers to the center of your boot being 3 centimeters behind the center of the ski

Candide is symmetrical, it is designed as a park and pipe ski. It won’t ski as well all over the mountain as the prodigy. The prodigy has a more directional shape so it will ski better as an all mountain ski
