Lincoln loop or lincoln loop 180

with a powder landing? probably a straight lincoln, just so you don't have to worry about the landing as much.
 
yeah it is hard to not spin, i have dificulty not turning my head in the air and thats really all you have to do also counter the potential spin with your hips.
 
Isn't an underflip/overflip a 90 + lincoln + 90? Underflip is toward the kicker, overflip is away from it. I've done neither, but when you do a lincoln, you never go blind, whereas an underflip you do. I guess the hard part is keeping a level center like you said...
 
no, hes talking about a lincoln 180, you do most of the flip and at the end you turn your head and do a 180.
 
I haven't tried them on skis yet, but it took a few times off of a diving board to get the rotation down, it's a little awkward at first, it's kinda hard to stop yourself from spinning.
 
I find it really hard to spin on the lincolns off diving boards...I always misty it off a diving board if I try a lincoln spin.
 
just don't throw your head forward. throw your body forward off the board and like try to touch your ear with your shoulder. and bring your legs over
 
lincoln is harder if you are trying to go like stiaght to the side, becaues its easy to get backseat.

set abit of backflip in it and its still super easy though.
 
loop left, spin left 180=underflip 5

loop right,spin left180=rodeo 5

sure not all rodeos look like deliberate lincoln then 180, but thats what the trick is essentially, with different ppl blending the loop and spin differently
 
it really depends on how you throw them. i would not say lincoln 180 is a rodeo 5, because most people spin the 180 pretty much at the very end of the flip. I've explained how to throw a true rodeo 5 too many times...and it is in no way any way like throwing a lincoln or lincoln 1.
 
just look back to the first snowboarders that were doing rodeos in the mid-late 90s, it was by definition heel roll, and a backside 180 for a bs rodeo 5. toe roll and frontside 180 for fs rodeo.

since you're flipping clockwise and spinning counter clockwise, the two get blended differently with different riders, so i mean not all rodeos look like a defined side flip and spin, but thats the basis of the trick. Anyways I'm starting to sound like im writing a paper for school so you can take it or leave it, im sure you know what a rodeo is and looks like, just alot of you never thought of it that way.
