I was pretty choked when the fans first celebrated like it was in... Bobby's gotta squeeze the pads at that point in the game, there's just no excuse for that getting through. Nor for the D letting him go.

How many games until it's over? My vote is 6. Take it in Dallas and head to Anaheim.
 
So excited for this game....i'm looking for the Sedins to get going and hopefully the return of Cooke.

Actually, I'm looking forward to the loudest Turco chants every broadcasted.

 
Arrrgghhh! Damn bouncing pucks! That was sad to see the Canucks lose like that, 0-0 into overtime. So close, too.

Oh, well, i think they can beat Dallas next game, or have the chance at game 7 (god forbid). Go Canucks, Go!
 
Luongo is the sickest player in these playoffs so far. If he keeps this up, the Nucks will be finals bound for sure.....Dallas will be as distant as a fart in the wind.
 
Fuck it would have been sweet to win that one at home last night. If only we had a decent power play and if only we didn't take dumbshit penalties in overtime. Oh well, at least we can take solace in the fact that Dallas has lost 6 straight playoff games on home ice.
 
I must say that Turco is playing pretty damn sicke himself.

Kinda scary....but the Canauckers will overcome that.
 
Damn. One of these games they have to break 3 goals. They might be ahead but compared to most of the 2nd half of the regular season their play has been mediocre at best, and I only say that because the defensive mistakes have been under control since game 2. Offensively there aren't even good chances. Luckily we don't have Bertuzzi around to taunt the opposition anymore and make them play better.

I had the feeling those Canucks couldn't deal with the pressure, even of round 1. Game 7, here we come.

On the other hand, we talked hockey at work today, and I called a 4-1 canucks win. No joke. So, I should bet on professional hockey?
 
i'll put it this way... i've never seen a team get shut out THREE times and still win the series. lotta work to be done if the canucks want to make it any further...
 
^so true, tomorrow they might lose, but they got it this far, which is farther than i thought they could.
 
Considering everyone was calling last in the division, 10th or worse in the conference at the start of the year, it's all icing from here on.

 
Yeah, I think by now lots of fans have been swept into a playoff mentality but just for the Canucks to make it this far is much more than most expected both at the start and middle of the season.

awww, shucks. That was actually the most brutal performance i've seen the canucks play in ages. They're screwed. I hope i'm bad at predictions, but i say unless Salo and Bieksa come back, this series will be over in game 5. You know who would win.
 
fuck we need Salo and Bieksa but even with them we might have less goals scored on us, fucking twins and naslund need to get the puck in the net, our power play is fucking terrible, still have hope though............
 
Well now. Those guys are pretty good at hockey.

The Canucks weren't even that terrible, aside from Sopel getting embarrassed by Selanne. That powerplay of Anaheim's is the most impressive thing I've seen in years. It's even better than Detroit's. Everyone on the ice is mobile, except for one static defenseman who sits at the point for one timers, and they always have the puck. Nothing in that game makes me question the assumption that they're the best team in the playoffs.
 
that game was pretty sweet. Whole team played well, not asleep, and even without salo or bieksa we won. Nice
 
Yeah... but Mitchell strained something. Hopefully Bieksa comes back soon, because at this rate we're going to end up fielding 6 AHL defensemen. Luckily Van is the deepest team defensively at the system level in the league... take away the top 6 and we can put in

Yeah, Naslund and Linden I feel have stepped it up for the teams. Both are going to stand real strong for the biggest game at GMC in a long time.

 
What the hell happened though, I thought he was day-to-day after game one? Any word on him? I agree, he brings energy... but the Canucks can win without him.
 
wow, i actually forgot about him after we started the anaheim series and salo and bieksa were out. I can't keep track, is bieksa still out, or will he play tonight?
 
Not tonight, but right after the previous Canucks loss, I was walking down Robson and enjoying a wonderful latte, when some fucking braindead idiots drove by, in a car fully decked out with 4 canucks flags (3 too many for any sane person) and a fucking Canucks towel hanging off the back, honking their horn and hanging out the windows yelling. Being on the phone, I found this behaviour annoying, not to mention the fact that it ruined my latte experience. So I did what any sane person would do: told my friend on the other end to hold on, and yelled "SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOUR TEAM LOST". Passersby thanked me for being sane. It was wonderful. I then continued my phone conversation, and felt better for having done my part to rid the world of idiotic Canucks fan.

Celebrating after a win, well, sure if you're a Canucks fan. But driving around celebrating after a LOSS?! Fuck you. Shut the fuck up.
 
that was the canucks typified to perfection. blowing a 2 goal lead in the 3rd and then loosing in OT. they must enjoy sleeping in their own feces. fucking bed shitters.
