KINGS CROWN REVAMP PETITION

your right even you hit those jumps way more than me...the only different thing is they have melted and maybe the first ones landing got pushed up a little

Hey Jim! Wow, that is just such a dramatic thing that happened to your friend... I feel for you. Thank you for letting all of us know why you have been gone for some time! That clears so much up! You have ALLLLLLL my pity. You have such killer parks at the city! If you could please have a park crew strap into there snowboard and spin over every jump and slide every rail... that way you could have some more insight into what is wrong, and if they think nothing then maybe it's time for you to rip up the parks you build!
Also, I keep hearing about pick being closed and comp bs.... well considering the past few years you allowed waaaaaaay more photo shoots/park closings.... i could care less and no clue why kids r mad. BUT, i think the concern comes from what is going to happen next? will that start ramp stay up the race course? otherwise no way in hell will anyone be able to make those SICK two knew jumps! Which pretty much would just mean you destroyed the best park for some "new creative" comp that is seeming like more of a failure everyday!
What about the pipe? will it be rebuilt for us pipe compers out there? or are just screwed out of the loop?
And as far as everyone shit talking and being negative... I guess Jim just needs to see how when kids move across the country FOR pc and then they realize maybe mam or co may have been a better call IF they JUST want to ski park is more than a little upsetting. and being ignored and put down by the pc crew when critisism was thrown out there... though this way seemed to work waaay better considering it looks like they are moving some shit around and attempting to mess with the death piles in kings

Pasotive? Fucking right!

Wow disregard anything this fucktard says. This is a positive thread stating that we need change with 5 jumps at PC. Not making people feel miserable, or doing a shitty job at trying to do so.

They definitely pushed up all the landings tim, come on. I stopped and looked at them, you just hit them probs.

well there you go, that was a little more positive
I feel for you, I mean I spent 18 years of my life in NY and just moved out to PC this season. Its hard to look at parks like keystone then go and ski pc's when its supposedly one of the best.
At the same time tho, I'm used to the biggest jump in my park being 15 feet, so a shitty park at pc HARDLY phases me. I've still been MORE than happy dropping cab 10s to a flat landing.

cause i just keep killing it at my job.... not until i suck as bad as jimbo ( A HEAD PARK DUDE WHO DOESNT EVEN KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A CAT) will i... you poopy dick

^ yes, it's still sick. i went to PC for the first time this year last week, and had a blast. it really isn't that busted at all.

Did you still get to hit the jumps actual size, like..did you start from the race course gate to hit table 1 or did they make it smaller?

like he said they were the same size. rather than taking eagle up to the actual gate everyone was taking three kings and just hiking a little bit.

i am worried because i heard word that they were taking them down soon and using the snow for something similar to what it was before because pick is supposed to be a medium park.

i could be wrong about this considering it was just word of mouth so someone please correct me.

entirely true, i wish pc would get its head out its ass and go and copy breck, fire their ignorant, proud, and smug park crew. and for fucks sake live up to pc's reputation, and keep the park's fresh, fun, and safe. but maybe this all has to do with the fact SHAWN WHITE graces his presence less than 10 days a year, where he can be found in the pipe or at the top of the hill chatting away on his iphone so it is perfectly acceptable to build shitty jumps.

brody what up..wish jason and I could've rode w ith you when you were in town but no worries...my thinking though is that i might try something different over spring break..mammoth keystone breck..somewhere i havn't been before becuase i plan on riding pc next year all season

Allright I'm going to step in here and comment. The start of this thread is what you would call constructive critisicm, something that was fun to read and comment on. Then at some point this thread went to hell and got to the point that someone isn't going to come in here and comment on. If you guys want people to take things seriously be constructive. When I would post the blogs for the resort each year I would say if you have something to say, be constructive. Don't just ride by and swear and ride off. And every year I would get comments about that comment that would swear at me and tell me to go places and they can do whatever they want. If you are going to write on the internet and want anyone at a ski resort to take you seriously, don't swear, calm down, make your points but on top of that explain why you feel the way you do. It's alot easier to get your job done out on the hill everyday if people are nice. Whether the park crew is a bunch of pricks or not, whether they yell at you or not, make what you say constructive and people listen. If someone asks you not to stand on a jump, don't go off on a hissy fit and swear and start pushing the park crew guy around. It's their job to regulate people inside the park. The one reason why ski resorts won't take newschoolers seriously is because people can't control what they say and how they say it. The majority of newschoolers are teenagers that like to bitch and moan, and if everyone just calmed down and explained the way they feel without such stupid comments and threatning peoples lives (evan and last years debaucle of a thread) people will actually listen.

Thanks.

Just two cents from a former park rat.

this was a span of a few weeks not just 2 days. he didnt do anything for the longest time. not saying i was able to ride this god awful park i was reading about but my friends came home every day bitching about it and how much their bodies were suffering because of it. when you know jim goes on NS and takes our criticism and tells us whats up we were pissed that he wasnt listening to what everybody had to say.

^ you've never ridden it so calling it god awful is extreme. Landings were a little flat and the jumps got a little smaller. Still the biggest and in my opinion best jumps in all of Utah. Canyons had nothing compared to the size of those. (if someone claims that canyons has something over 40 ft I'm going to get pissed, that step down, though tall, and fun, is 35 at most and has no pop. ) And while jonsey's hasnt changed since opening day it is still a park that is over a mile long and you can hit 17 features in one run, something no mountain around here has. SO yea the park has been kind of a let down, but for most of us who moved here from new york, wisconsin, montana, etc. the park still is pretty sick.

The kings jumps are perfect now. They are amazing for learning tricks and doing all sorts of everything. Thanks for the fix PC and if they could stay this way for the rest of the season it would be absolutely wonderful.

True...the warmest weather that snow can fall in is 50.9 degrees Fahrenheit, and that would be with 0% humidity, which isn't actually even possible for snow to fall in 0% humidity, but at 8% humidity which is possible but rare it could fall at 48.1 degrees Fahrenheit.

However, what I think he was trying to say, and I know you already know this, is that it keeps warming up to what feels like 70 degrees, and then cooling down the next week and dumping

Indeed

However my reference was to a conversation I had with two fine Floridians about the weather tomorrow while I was on the lift with Willem today. They asked about the weather and I replied 70 and snowing.

although the jumps are better, the park could use a rebuild. Nothing has been changed once this year. we need shawn white to tell Park city that he is coming to ride kings cause you know theyll change it and make it sweet then. That seems like their only motivation to do anything this year.

that is a real bummer.i hope they fix something up real nice.
and like someone above said, please salt the jumps in kings. the takeoffs on the bottom two get real sketchy real quick when the sun's out.

I'm gonna put this out there again... is it possible to make the two jumps in joneseys into one dope step over? If that run had a couple legit jumps and the rails got mixed up a little it would be dope.

I would have to concur with that statement. It wouldn't even necessarily have to be as big of a step over as it was last year, just something bigger than it is now.

I wasn't ragging on anyone specific just giving an overall education to everyone on these forums... Hope the rest of the season goes well for everyone. Cheers.

raking kings was money today! by 3 30 the first one softened back up to the perfect lip. If you guys could do that except like an hour or so earlier that would be prime.

also while we're giving input... please assess and repair the ration of down rails to up rails. thanks.
