They set the opening date as November 16th, which means as long as the temps are cold enough to blow snow, they will blow like crazy to get things open by the 16th.

oh and they usually have one or two nights of blowout, cleaning the lines making sure equipment works right and all that jazz. So ya, good luck all you easterners.

Looks awesome!

Hopefully nighttime temps cooperate and they can have awesome coverage and good opening conditions for 11/16!

yep, saw the photos on killys website, long range forecast 15 day looks pretty good but i dont know how reliable it is...

There will be a brief warmup the next few days which will set all the New England resorts back a little as far as snowmaking goes, but then it's back to cold nights at higher elevations, with even deeper cold looking to sneak south from northern canada sometime next week. I don't forsee any real issues unless the cold shot doesn't work it's way south.

The odds are in favor of the cold air though.

when i was there thats how it went, and each year i got my hopes up. Id hike that shit now and make some jumps.

hmm, travis or anybody who is at the mountain right now, do you think there will be enough snow to hike it on wednesday?

yea i was looking at the pics and thats why i thought there could be the possibility of an earlier opening date, hopefully they will

thats awesome that hills out east have started blowing snow, were still having preseason jams here in the midwest, cant wait until the hills here start to blow snow!

Wow, they laid a LOT of snow, quickly.

Cold temps this week, and even colder the following week.

cant wait till my mountain starts blowing snow(3-4weeks)... it say on the home page they can open the first main run overnight when temps are pretty good. Although, that isnt that impressive since my mountains vertical is less than 400ft.
