Killington bear park???

i skiied K this morning. Double dipper had a SHITLOAD of powder on it somehow. I guess it all blew onto it or something, because in places there was defintely well over a foot. I was actually really surprised. Anarchy was shitty surprosingly, the throne was nice. There was a park comp with a bunch of little dudes, dont they have school to attend? It was fun though

aaaaaaah, I want that. good to see you're back. the guy who I skied anarchy with mentioned where the light was. I'm not 100% certain still, but I think I've got a better idea of where to go. anyway, by the time I'm back up I'm sure everything will be tracked out so it's time for me to work on park skills. I seem to have a mental block against hitting any bigger jumps. anyone have any tips or willing to help me for like 5 minutes at the mt?

I'm not positive at this point, maybe next weekend. hopefully as soon as possible haha. I'll post in here before I go, or when I find out.

dreammaker will be closed from the homerun cutout down. so from the hip down. we r gunna rework the hip so it gose the other way or something havent realy decied yet but at least it wont just a wasted pile of snow. we may have dreammaker for a few days after sunday becase it dosent need to close until we build the slope on bear claw. .

and im glad you like the jump next to the pipe.

hopfully there will be enought snow left over to scrounge up somthing like that for end of yr. we will see. there is mass amounts of snow on lowerdreammaker above the pipe.

THe weather is soooo lame right now- rained all sat and nite and everything is on wind hold for today (sunday). TOTAL LAMENESS! but tomorrow is suppose to be sick so i shall be up there... yay for spring break!

yes serious talk about skye peak quad going to a high speed 6pack and major changes in trails like no cross over no anti venom bear claw starting were it used to at wander g eastern. mostly just having all downhill skiing. the coolest thing is new park trail in between dream maker and skyeburst. and park would start at upper dream maker cut in from skyburst because there is no cross over. laps on high speed chair = so good they better do it and not just talk about it

shit dude, I haven't been skiing in two or three weeks now. I'm freaking out here, this suuucks. I don't even have much to do this weekend.

So it's official:

http://www.killingtonzone.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21883

[for full text of emails]

Approx. $50 increase in passes (and 3 blackout days back in some passes, I believe)

Skye Peak being replaced with 5 minute High Speed (Includes new towers)

Redoing some trails.. (possibly closing off interconnects between trails for easier top to bottom skiing..?)

Improvements in snowmaking infrastructure.. ?

yeah, I'm def. stoked about the new lift. I always avoided it if I could and took the Bear Mountain Quad instead.

I'm finally heading up this weekend after nearly a month of no skiing, anyone else? I'll be skiing on friday def. saturday I should be up with a few friends and hopefully sunday too if we stay up. I feel like I need to nail a 3 by the end of this season.

park will start at upper dream maker skyeburst cut in. and will have old dream maker and a new trail cut in between dream and skye burst connecting to the top of grizzly. pretty dope if they actually go threw with it. lets hope they do that would double are terrain. also 30 grand worth of new rails and boxes. if that dosent get cut out of the budget.

I was just there for 3 days and I saw of ton of people.. what's everyone wearing? my picture is in my profile of my outfit.

not yet on pipe jump look for grizzy back on friday. but the wall ride is nasty its cut with zaugg . probly gunna end up being a qp and wall back up on grizzle

and this would be me.. and as I'm sure you can tell I landed waaaaay backseat and I overshot that jump hahahaha. it's always sweet when the photog captures your worst moments, anyway that one hurt my shins.. a lot. at least my friend said some kid was like woooooah he got a lot of air haha.

OH, and so I hear they're extending closing to 4/20!

anyone going up for spring loaded? i'm heading up from penn state and it'll be my first time skiing this season (effin foot ligaments and trampolines) and i'm not supposed to "leave the ground." anyway, i was just wondering what the party scene would be like (or lack there of)? the website said no alcohol but i'm bringing a friend who's never been skiing....so i was planning on doing a bit of drinking and showing k-town how psu does it. any info would be greatly appreciated.

whats the deal for th 5th.  spring loaded is boarder only right?  Will there be a seperate setup or will we lose part of the park?  I want dreammaker so bad

wow that would suck if they closed wet dream maker to skiers on the last fucking saturday its open.  Spring loaded is just a rail jam right?  Why would they close the whole park.  If you hear anything could you throw it up in this thread TWA?  Thanks dude

springloaded is rail jam and slopestylee and pipers

jedi mind tricks is performingtoo

but yeah on the site it says

pipe will be sat

the rail jam will be sat night and then

the slopestyle extravagenza will be sunday, so hopefully something stay open

oh a lighter note

is anyone gonna ride gaperil first (tuesday)

ya it was ok. 1 jump not really fun, then a cluster fuck of rails.  you can really only hit 2 per run.  indludes, redbull feature, flat rail, down rail, flat box, up/angled box, tank bonk from dream maker, flat down flat box, and a cool pipe stuck in the snow that sticks out and up of a sort of jump face so after you slide it its like a 10ft drop.  Good for spins off and stuff.  Park was nothing great

TWA how is there only 2 lines?  Unless they ripped stuff out there is multiple lines.

You can go jump to pipe thing

or jump to flat rail to down rail

or redbull feature

or off camber box way off to skiers right and the tank

every mountain does it at the start of the season but it always changes

and 3.5 months till season starts? how about 1.5-2. maybe not at killington, but other mtns are planning on an oct. opening

not true...

a lot of mountains will actually go by ticket sales... like common sense would dictate.

Why on earth would anyone turn down money if its there to be made...

nah, I mean for me at least. def less time for people up in the area who can get to it. for me I don't know when I'm getting there..

Last year killi announced their closing before the season started, and they didnt budge it.  They closed on the announced date at about 75% open.  It sucked
