Kids Who Lie About How Good They Are

The other day I was at school and I overheard this kid talking about all these tricks he can do on skis and how he could easily get sponsered. Then I bumped into him at the park and asked if he wanted to film with us and it turned out he couldnt even do a 180 or even a rail despite the fact that he said he could cork 5! Do you know any1 like this? And how annoying do you find these people?

I had a"friend" i used to ski with. He said he could get sponsored because he got his'tips' over the edge of the pipe, and doing a 180. Nowadays he stays at home playing cod.

There's more than a few people at my hill who claim shit and can't back it up but it doesn't really bother me. I suck but I don't act l'm any better because one day maybe I'll progress and throw tricks I dream of doing right now.

It's ok haha! I know another person who got his parents to buy him really expensive skis and $900 dollars of saga stuff when he really needs none of it it and then enters and comes pretty much last place in a shitty competition then bullshit to me that he can backflip and 1080 when I've seen him ski and he's shit

People say i suck. This year was my first year of freeskiing. Before this year i could do little 3's around the mountain, but now I can do a 9 of a 30ft park jump. Im 14. Do I suck?

This, I like to think I changed before I even had any skills to brag about, but I have nobody that can remember. I definitely loved attention though.

tore my acl and mcl last year on a large at whis,

before i could spin switch to 7 comfortably, it completely killed any and all confidence i had in the park, ive literally had to start from the bottom up to try and re learn eveyrthing, and i mean everything. at the moment im only straight airing mediums and have just got 180s down all ways, just starting on 3's now.

get judged so much wearing a full saga suit only being confident enough to straight air mediums.

KIDS PLEASE, i rock the official first drop so clearly I am z dopest kid in z park. Just WAIT till you see me SLAYIN those no grab 3s in the mini park.

(the above is a true story, i suck and i'm not afraid to admit it, idk why peple need to brag, honestly, most of us suck, esp on the east coast. )

If you can 9 a 30 foot jump, I'm very impressed. I can barely spin fast enough to get a 7 around on a 30 footer, but I'm not very good at throwing big spins/staying on axis.

I suck I could do most of the rails at my mountain no problem but then I destroyed my knee on the easiest rail ever and it's not the same as it was before. Also jumps scare the shit out of me because I seem to always get hurt on the so I do 3's all the time on smaller things.

Hey at least it's something, I never spin. Ever.

That said, I prefer to understate my abilities whenever possible. If someone asks you how good you are, they probably suck anyways. I've never seen a really good skier even ask someone that, it's awlays the dumbass gaper joeys that think they rip that want to tell you how good they are.

Last year I was huge attention whore, telling people I could do tricks that I couldnt do and so on, I think I was much better with that this year.

This is the same for me. Just this year I have started to have knee issues due mostly to growing, but also over working my knees. There is a whole bunch of inflamation on my tendons, and it kills to walk most of the time. I still ski because I couldn't stop that, but I can't do anything in the park because I'm to scared on landing backseat and totally screwing my knees. I get judged all the time for wearing all my big shit while only being able to 1 big jumps, and ocassionally front 2 out.

nah man its all about them switch 3s, you can spot that landing all day long. But really floaty switch 1s are also tons of fun.

I hate regular 3s and would rather spin any jump switch.

dude I feel you so much on this

I had a pretty life changing injury happen to me this year, and all my confidence had literally shot out the window after it.

I haven't had to relearn everything, but a good chunk of everything I had went away just because I was focusing on my injury and not getting re-injured as opposed to just skiing the park.

Spring is here man. Just go fuck around for the rest of the year, throw some shit you wouldn't normally try, and have fun. I guess at this point man, there's always next year hahaha

so i need to be dope in order to buy saga and have nice skis? I hate this attitude, i ski moguls and wear saga go on and hate

Why would you get judged? Why are you going back to the park? Both of these questions seem toe be fixable with 1 answer...

why am i going back to the park? um because i want to?

i only started back in the park last week, after spending 68 days (i got scanned yesturday and checked) riding all mountain.. havent had snow for a while and everything is icy and bumpy.

I'll admit my jump skills suck. Best I can do is a hand drag 1 and nose butter 3. My rail game is pretty ok. K Feds and Brittanys.

kid at my resort claims he can cork five but ive never even seen him do anthe better than a crappy 3,

he said he did it on the ten footer.

Im not that good either, i can only 540 30 footers and front 2 out rails

So the park broke you off and you're getting shit talked to you by a bunch of kids.

There is a reason I don't bother to look at the park when I buy my season pass. I don't want to tell you what to do but the answer seems pretty simple if you live in the west. Ski outside the resort...

The best part is when someone on the lift is like: yeah, maybe I should throw cork 9. *proceeds to incessantly practicing the set for it on the chair* then you watch him ski and he can't even do 3s well. I have a good laugh with those kids.

id love to call someone out on here so badly, haha this person tells me he can do all the shit on rails and when i skied with him the other day he just slid rails.....
