There's a lot of people like that, its funny because when you see them at the hill you are a lot better than them actually. You should not build a reputation, if you are really good, people will build it for you.
 
I honestly don't know people who make claims. I'm not a terrible skier, I have my fair share of banger tricks. But on the average day, it's 3's off every jump!

im in the park because i want to re learn it in my last two weeks here. everywhere else is shitty. mate last week in whis it rained up to 2000m so dont tell where and what to ski if you are obviously making assumptions about the weather and snow.
 
A kid at my school claims he can "left-right 80" however i'm not quite sure what the fuck that is, maybe Mr. Parry could invent it for us. He also says he can backie but his fb picture is him 50/50-ing a flat box. The fact that he does this in front of kids younger than me that are also better than me at school is annoying as hell.

There's this kid at my school who brags about being able to helicopter (his definition of "helicopter" is crossing your skis and raising your hands above your head)
 
i try not to talk about skiing unless i am skiing but there is a kid in the grade below me wo posts on sagas wall and his fb profile pic is casibon going off a cliff or something and everyday he is skiing he posts about his day in the park and how he and his dad took HUGE lines in the bc so ya i do know someone lke that.....
 
My shit talking friend was complaining about me doing "the same trick over and over again." I do occasionally but usually only to clean up some of them. Then he went and switched to an all mountain partial twin tip because he doesn't like to do trick. And yes he was trying to cover up the fact that he still has a hard time doing a 180.
 
Never understood why people would try to claim that they can do shit they cant. Its all about having fun and progressing on a personal level but with all your friends around hyping each other up to do bigger and better tricks. Before my back went out and i could actually still shred the park the way i wanted to thats what it was all about for the crew i skied with. Everyone had a decent bag of tricks but it was never anything more than friendly competition and maybe a little friendly shit talking to push people in a good way.
 
I know I don't do much, but I have more important things than throwing new tricks, I'd rather mellowly lap the park and hopefully not screw with my knees.
 
My friend was like that. He said he could hit all the biggest jumps in our park, then pussied out hard when it came to actually hitting them. It's o.k. though, because he's trying harder to get better now and he doesn't talk shit about other people and say he's really good.
 
i used to work with some guy like that. i was just starting out park skiing and i was talking to him about it and he said he could spin 9's and 7's and do a bunch of tricks on rails. One day i saw him in the park while i was on the chair and i yelled at him to do a 7. He tried to straight air the jump and ended up eating shit. it was really funny. later he told me he could barely spin off the jump. i laughed at him and went on with my life
 
I have a friend that does it with skating and says he can kickflip a 8 stair when he can't even Ollie a 3 stair consistantly... says he could do it when he was ten people like this just piss me off and it really grinds my gears when you bustm and they still don't admit that they suck
 
I'm pretty shitty at park. I can do rails, and all that, but I'm hopeless at spinning. Shifty ones all day lol
 
Its not about showing off. I suck and there are kids 5 years younger doing way sicker shit than me but its still fun there's no reason to bs how good you are pretty much everyone is just having fun with it.
 
This is exactly how I was last year. I always told people "Yeah I can do solid cork 7s anytime" when in reality I only threw one sketchy ass one. Lernt ta keep my mouth shut
 
I moved to a place with the shittiest park ever but the backcountry and inbounds terrain is pretty awesome, so it doesn't bother me anyways. Freeriding has was less of that who's best mentality and it's usually just friends having fun pushing eachother. In my park days it was definitely a sort of pissing contest between people and less about having fun with friends, which is why i love skiing so much.
 
I love skiing. I don't care that I suck. I have other things in life to worry about other than skiing so I can't push myself too hard. I have fun at the level I'm at and progress little by little. I love just chillin watching kids throw sick shit and cheering them on.
 
This one kid at my school, "claims" to be better than me at skiing in general because he raced for 8 years.im not that amazing at park but i can throw spins with grabs and 270 on and stuff so i wanted to see him ski, turns out all he does it pretend to smoke weed (its actually tea) with his friends at the top of the park, then ride down the side of the jump line. when i asked him about it he said he was "too ripped" to do anything today... or the rest of the season.

But seriously man, calling this kid out on his shitty park abilities is sort of a dick move. Even if he's the biggest attention whore around for 100 miles. No one likes to hear that they're shit, even from themselves, which is probably why he's playing himself up so much. That said, if he's 15, he sounds like a cocksucker
 
I mean I am not good at park and I am not afraid to admit it haha. I have only been skiing park for 2 years. I don't care what people think and if the judge me. But if they piss me off that's a different story
 
One time my classmate at school claimed he did a front 6 out of a rail during a ski trip on the march break. I was surprised when he said this because I had skied with him before and he was just learning how to front swap. I asked him who he was skiing with when he accomplished this bangerr trick and he said he was alone. If a tree falls in the woods and theres no one there to hear It, did it really happen? ;)
