Kids Out west take their mountains for granted

Yes they do, i live in wisconsin and when ever i go out west the last place i go is the park. I will hit the pipe before the park though. But the first thing that i go to is the mountain. I go out west and i see u kids skiing the park on a powder day. I guess that is a good thing because that gives me more powder.

Bill Dance

kids out eats are jelous... woops did i say that well i ment it, i ski out east also, im jelos of thos wstcoasters, and who cares if they ride the park when theres powder, they get powder evry day

Powder everyday, what are you talking about. I live in fricken ohio, but I've taken my trips, and they don't have powder everyday, they might get a couple nice big dumps a month, but theres plenty of time when the mountain sux w/ massive rockage and such.

I dont know about just park, I mean where i am early season there is powder all the time so that is what you ski, then mid season you do the park abit and big mountain abit, where i ski a run involves, steep pow, some cliffs and then the pipe, then in spring ti is all park

im sure there are people out west who ride powder on a powder day, but they probably just like park more, like me. I live in the east, and I imagine I would be spending most of my time in the park when i go to bc next year.

if i gave a shit, you would smell it.

On powder days I ride park and on really crappy icy days a ride the BC.

'Why should I wave to them? They're Canadians! They should feel blessed that an American cut in front of them.'

or you come to white pass where there is no park...and you ride, whatever you feel like.

or not!!! steamboat is the ghetto of the ski industry cause we are around all these big places and we are a big place as well. no no no, we're like the projects of the ski industry. just come here. we get good snow but we are comparitively flat (for the rest of CO) and our park designers are like that 100 monkeys at 100 typwriters thing, except w/ retards instead of monkeys.

This rant has brought to you in part by the Gomer corporation. Bringing you quality bablings since January.

haha this reminds me o this time i was up at lake louise (i live in ontario) and there was this kid in the chairlift with me and he was complaining to his mom about how it sucked and it was too cold (it was not) and that panorama was better and he wanted to go home. if that is not taking things for granted i dont know what is

Do whatever you want. If you are skiing, who cares if your in the park on a pow day. Plus it helps me learn tricks when I don't have to worry about an icy landing. Not that I would be in the park on a blue bird pow day or anything... damn you people out west...

That dream where you're falling, that's fun to me...

I never ski the park, the park is gay. who would to jump and slide rails anyways?

when conditions are epic on the mountain then ride the mountain, when conditions are epic in the park then ride the park.

bill you dont understand that living in the mountains you have that possibility. you can pick and chose what to do since our conditions, especially at mammoth are so epic.

yes i agree that it is pointless to ride park on a powder day, but fuck who cares? the more kids in the park the better, then we have less to contend with for freshies.

i sure as hell do not take my mountain for granted, i grew up in wisconsin at the same place as billdance. i made the choice to move to a real mountain and take every day with the same stoke i had when i first moved there.

dont stereotype people bill, especially since you dont know what you are talking about, just because you are friends with nate doesnt mean you know shit. so calm down.

i live in washington and trust me my friends and I all take advantage of the entire mountain, the parks fun but hell you can build a kicker anywhere thats the great part about the sport no matter how shitty the conditions you can find something fun to do and when the ski gods smile down and give us massive pow we enjoy it. So hopefully all of you who aren't near the sweet stuff will make do and probably progress the sport more because of all the time you will spend in the park

I would ride powder every day. The only reason I ride park is because thats all their is when you got 2oo verticle feet

Dirty i couldnt agree with you more on that, i was talking about the kids that just ski park and thats it. And the kids who can just do tricks and not ski. Like most kids at tyrol. (not naming names)

Bill

no shit, move west. I grew up in NY and it sucked so now I don't live there anymore. Pretty simple concept

Damn it, you easterners bitch so much about your mountains quit being a pussy and deal with it and if that requiers moving out west then do that. Just wipe your vagina and shut it.

meh, when i first moved to fernie...it started to snow one day, and didn't stop for like 2 weeks. I began to live by the 20cm rule. Less then 20, i'd go to the hill at noon, and sesh the soft park, more then 20, i'd ride the mountain at first chair and ride until all my favourite spots were tracked, then hit the park if i felt like it. Once the avy situation is stable, i'd hit the backcountry for a day or 2. You definitly don't take it for granted. When there's 30cms or more on the ground, there aren't many locals, if anyone in the park. Though i've actually heard people complain that there was TOO much snow on a couple days, definitly not locals though.

Anyways, i had to suffer through 15 years of skiing on a shitty ontario mound that hand no snowmaking, grooming or terrain park. If it bothers you as much as it bothered me that other people had the shit in the west, move west asap. Life is better there.

i'm from the west coast and we don't take shit for grated. i love the mountains that i have been so blessed to have. i have and i pity all you fools who live anywhere else....but thats life so smoke some sausage biaaaaaaaatch.

'you make those big pantys look like little pantys'

I agree with all of yall who says who the hell cares what people ride on any condition day. I mean why are you thinking of the people and what they should doing. Just go do what you would do. Damn do you care about thoughs people?

I wish I had a nice flat area, where I could see for a long ways without having to get up on top of something to see over stuff.

Like maybe a few rolling hills might be nice, but nothing too steep.

I have to put up with these goddamn steep mountains and shit, it gets really frustrating.

HHHHHHAAAAAA HHHHHAAAAA!

Why would you live in the east? I just don't get it. Perhaps someone could enlighten me?
