So keystone and breck are opening the 9th

stone is gonna start right off with night skiing, so you can sesh whatever they have set up till 9 pm

but here is my question

I know Keystone will have like 30 rails set up again like they had last year

but is breck opening with kickers?????

please if anyone has any info on if breck is opening with kickers like they did last year please let me know

thanks

well they better have kickers becuase im heading out there for a week between the 14th and the 22nd and im basically going out there to get some early season in so i really hope they have jumps up

you know that there are 3 features set up at basin right? but yeah man i feel that im getting sick of that shit too but at least its skiing

i heard froma little birdie that if conditions are right, they might open this friday... that would be amazing

Im so excited for them to open, finally all of colorado wont be tryin to get on 2 lifts and like 4 features between abasin an loveland

umm they are sposed to get some snow this wed

but ohhhhh how i hope breck has some kickers up

so keystone for sure no kickers??

no not for sure, but it all depends what they open. they opened a week earlier last year, but didn't have anything near A51. when they opened A51, they had a fun 3 jump line that was better than brecks, as it had a full park (country boy is pretty weaksauce). we'll see, what i heard from someone on the park crew is as of now keystone didn't have enough snow to open this week, though that might change if they get some natural snowfall to go with the snowmaking. so it's wait and see. breck seems pretty set on the 9th.

no keystone will definately be open on the 9th unless they can open early like they did last year...and breck most likely wont open til the 9th no matter what.

when did you ride them? cuz last year i went to keystone opening and i dont remember any jums just pry 15 rails or so and they are all under the river run gondola not in the normal A51 spot. they did move A51 though right before 36 hours and had a few jumps.

also yeah breck is pretty weak last year two jumps a little kinda up rail a dfd box and something else i think but idk

A friend who works snowmaking told me that Breck was gona have two jumps up, like a 35 and a 45 footer. Also a few rails, as long as the snow allows.

^^Nope, Breck never opens early, they like to preserve all of their goodness. They let people absorb the shittiness of keystone, then shabam!

cuz I live in breck and i gotta represent. I actually enjoy keystone, it has some good park shit usually, minus the fact that it gets rutted out so bad.

Its great how everyone on the east coast is amped to have a flat box an inch off the snow with a patch of snow around it, when west kids have mountains open, trails, and decent flat rails tos session and are on the verge of not apreciating it. 3/4 of the kids on the east would killlll to ride any mountain, park or not

I wouldn't ever say that I don't apreciate it. I look out my window every single morning and thank god for where I get to live. Just because I talk some friendly shit about a mountain that I live near, doesn't mean that I don't apreciate it. It is all in good fun. I am stoked to be riding soon, as I have been sessioning a decent flat rail in my buddies back yard for the past 2 weeks on an inch of snow.

what do you mean? i said they had a preseason setup, then when they opened A51 they had jumps, not too hard to follow, the early season jib park was not A51.

rumors around my work that keystone will open this friday (nov 2). Hopefully so, and to the kid hating on keystone... not needed. I would say overall keystones park is better, shorter lap time, better (safer) jumpline, and better vibe. Breck is sick too, just gotta be careful on the big jumpline... Keystone has a ton of snow, i live accross the street form them, theyve been blowing for a few weeks now.

yeah dude i love keystone i think breck though will give it a run for its money this year with all the parks in one place. except keystone does have unbeatable lap time

last year they opened with 2 on the country boy trail with i assume will happen again. One was maybe 25 feet and the other maybe 35-40 if i remember correctly. oh and they also had a few rails up on that same trail
